"Life" through the aspect of color and light.

Abstract

The thesis named “LIFE THROUGH THE ASPECT OF COLOR AND LIGHT’’ has its root wrapping around one of my life experiences: suffering. This “suffering” in particular has made me ponder upon the life of a human, eventually leading to realization that problems are the cause of suffering. Suffering, happiness, or any other occurrences in a lifetime all come and pass. Happiness and suffering are entwined into the essence of life. Attitudes and points of view toward a certain issue altogether bear a fruit of consciousness, understanding, acceptance, solutions, and stepping forward on the path of life. Sometimes, mistakes are not as severe as one may think it would be; nonetheless, they may be the key to other possibilities which open to learning and new experiences. Some things cannot be fixed or undone; however, they could exist together in harmony. This notion has brought about an inspiration to create a workpiece that is meant to represent my attitudes, ideas, and points of view toward the essence of a human’s life. This creation using Organza fabric presents the essential characteristics of fabric, even though they are all 100% polyester, through a specific technique from this kind of fabric. This workpiece displays dimensions of colors and light, comprised of both 2D and 3D. Hence, different shapes and colors can be perceived from different aspects. The installation is based around artistic placements which demonstrate uncertainty, temporality, independency, the come-and-go, and the rise-and-fall, which altogether lead to a certain meaning; aspects toward art are not only to be in the front or the side. Similar to the life of a human, attitudes and points of view on how to live a life are the reason behind feelings, consciousness, analysis, decision makings which all decide the very next steps of life in the future.

การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานวิทยานิพนธ์ “ชีวิต ผ่านมิติแสงสี” เริ่มต้นมาจากประสบการณ์ชีวิตส่วนตัวนั่นคือ ความทุกข์ ทำให้ข้าพเจ้านึกทบทวนถึงชีวิตของมนุษย์ จนพบว่าปัญหานั้นทำให้เกิดทุกข์ ซึ่งไม่ว่าจะทุกข์ สุข ปัญหา หรือสิ่งต่างๆที่ได้พบเจอในแต่ละช่วงของชีวิต ล้วนแต่เป็นสิ่งที่ผ่านเข้ามาและจะผ่านออกไป ความสุขและความทุกข์ผสมรวมกันอยู่เป็นธรรมชาติของชีวิต ทัศนคติและมุมมองที่มีต่อปัญหานั้นทำให้เกิดสติ การเข้าใจ การยอมรับ การแก้ไข และการเดินหน้าต่อ บางครั้งความผิดพลาดไม่ใช่สิ่งที่เลวร้ายอย่างที่คิด อาจทำให้เกิดสิ่งใหม่ ที่นำไปสู่การเรียนรู้และประสบการณ์ใหม่ๆ บางสิ่งบางอย่างแก้ไขหรือทำลายทิ้งไม่ได้ แต่สามารถอยู่ร่วมกันได้อย่างสงบสุข นำไปสู่แรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานที่ต้องการนำเสนอทัศนคติ แนวความคิด มุมมองความคิดที่ข้าพเจ้ามีต่อธรรมชาติของชีวิตมนุษย์ ผ่านการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานผ้าที่ต้องการนำเสนอเอกลักษณ์ความเป็นธรรมชาติของผ้า แม้ว่าจะเป็นผ้าใยสังเคราะห์ 100% ก็ตาม โดยสื่อสารผ่านเทคนิคเฉพาะของผ้าชนิดนี้ วิธีการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงมิติของสีและแสง ผลงานมีรูปแบบสองมิติและสามมิติ สามารถมองเห็นรูปทรงและสีสันต่างกันได้ เมื่อมองต่างมุมกัน ลักษณะการติดตั้งผลงานด้วยศิลปะการจัดวาง แสดงให้เห็นถึงความไม่แน่นอน ชั่วคราว ความอิสระ การผ่านเข้ามาและผ่านออกไป เกิดขึ้นใหม่และจบลง นำไปสู่สาระความหมายที่ว่ามุมมองที่มีต่อการมองศิลปะว่าไม่ได้มีเพียงแต่มุมมองด้านหน้าหรือด้านข้างเพียงเท่านั้น ชีวิตของมนุษย์ก็เช่นกัน ทัศนคติ มุมมองที่มีต่อการใช้ชีวิตนั้นส่งผลต่อมนุษย์ในด้านอารมณ์ความรู้สึก ไปจนถึงสติ การวิเคราะห์ การตัดสินใจในเรื่องราวต่างๆอันมีผลต่อการดำเนินชีวิตต่อไปในอนาคต
