Development Approach of Desirable Characteristics of Electrical Building Service Technician

Abstract

This research aims to 1) investigate the characteristics of electrical building service technician and 2) to explore the developmental approach of desirable characteristics of electrical building service technician. This research was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D) methodology.

The target populations were 422 education institutions and companies. The sample group were from 225 places. Informants consisted of heads of electrical department, students /trainees, heads of electrical building service technician and electrical building service technicians, 335 cases were selected by the Multi Stage Random Sampling.

The experimental group consisted of 15 electrical building service technicians. The tools used consisted of 1) the questionnaire of the desirable characteristics of electrical building service technician, 80 items. 2) Focus group questions guideline for explore the developmental approach of the desirable characteristics of electrical building service technician. 3) Sets of characteristics development activities for electrical building service technician (7Activities: 7A). Statistics used to analyze the data were Descriptive Statistic, t-test and Content Analysis. The findings of the study revealed that in general, the desired characteristics of electrical building service technician was at a high level (=4.17). While considering each aspect, the research has found out that the demand was at a high level in every aspect, consisted with Aspect of Personality (=4.31), Aspect of Knowledge (=4.17), Aspect of Operational Skills (=4.14), and Aspect of Skilled Workers (=4.11) respectively. There are 4 aspects, 22 characteristics of electrical building service technician.

The results showed that the measurement of the developmental approach of desirable characteristics of electrical building service technician is appropriate overall at the highest level (=4.52) consists of 1) Analyze and synthesize the desirable characteristics of electrical building service technician 2) Define and set important aspect of contents 3) Select appropriate teaching/learning methods. 4) Design and develop a sequence of activities for the desired feature development 5) Experiment experimental group and 6) Assessment activities for electrical building service technician. The experiments using sets of characteristics development activities showed that, after participated in the activity the experimental group had a significantly higher score than before participated in the activity at the .01 level and there was also a high level of satisfaction with the outcome of this activity (=4.36). So that this development activities model can be used as a development guideline for desirable characteristics of electrical building service technician.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร และ 2) ศึกษาแนวทางการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร ผู้วิจัยได้ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยการวิจัยและพัฒนา (Research and Development)

ประชากร ประกอบด้วย สถานศึกษาและสถานประกอบการ จำนวน 422 แห่ง กลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 225 แห่ง ผู้ให้ข้อมูล ประกอบด้วย หัวหน้าแผนกช่างไฟฟ้ากำลัง นักศึกษา/ผู้เข้าฝึกอบรม หัวหน้าช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร และช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร จำนวน 335 คน เป็นการสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน (Multi Stage Random Sampling) ส่วนกลุ่มทดลอง ได้แก่ ช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร จำนวน 15 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ ได้แก่ 1) แบบสอบถามคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร จำนวน 80 ข้อ 2) แบบสนทนากลุ่มเพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร และ 3) ชุดกิจกรรมพัฒนาคุณลักษณะช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร (7Activities : 7A) วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา (Discriptive Statisistic) t-test และการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา (Content Analysis)

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า คุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคารในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (X=4.17) เมื่อพิจารณารายด้าน ปรากฏว่าอยู่ในระดับมากทุกด้าน ด้านลักษณะนิสัย (X=4.31) ด้านความรู้ (X=4.17) ด้านทักษะการปฏิบัติงาน (X=4.14) และด้านทักษะฝีมือแรงงาน (X=4.11) ตามลำดับ คุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร ประกอบด้วยคุณลักษณะ 4 ด้าน 22 คุณลักษณะ

แนวทางการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร โดยภาพรวมมีความเหมาะสมมากที่สุด (X=4.52) ประกอบด้วย 1) วิเคราะห์สังเคราะห์คุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร 2) กำหนดเนื้อหาสาระที่สำคัญ 3) เลือกวิธีการและรูปแบบการเรียนการสอนที่เหมาะสม 4) ออกแบบและพัฒนาชุดกิจกรรมพัฒนาคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ 5) ทดลองใช้ชุดกิจกรรมกับกลุ่มทดลอง และ 6) ประเมินผลการใช้กิจกรรม การทดลองใช้ชุดกิจกรรมพัฒนาคุณลักษณะช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร พบว่า กลุ่มทดลองมีคะแนนทดสอบหลังร่วมกิจกรรมมากกว่าก่อนร่วมกิจกรรมแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ระดับ .01 มีความพึงพอใจต่อการร่วมกิจกรรม อยู่ในระดับมาก (X=4.36) แนวทางพัฒนาคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร และชุดกิจกรรมมีความเหมาะสมนำมาใช้พัฒนาคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของช่างไฟฟ้าภายในอาคาร
