An Project of Multi - Sensory Stimulation Room for Special Children

Abstract

This thesis objectives is to study and analyze the behavior of special children. Study the space design for sensory stimulation and design guidelines related to space design, the use of environmental graphic design to assist in the design of areas that address spatial resolution. And provide guidance for the design of the environment, to stimulate the senses, to recognize the special children, to develop the senses, to recognize the child and to improve the quality of life of the child. By bringing knowledge from the local way of life of Rattanaburi, Surin is a concept through the process of design. And lead to the design of space-optimized environment to stimulate the senses of special children. This is in line with the lifestyle of the people in the community.

In this research is used Mixed Method was selected by qualitative research and experimental research. By Observation, Interview, Narrative, Comparative Description from Specialist Child Care Teacher in Anuban Rattanaburi School, Surin and Children's Developmental Specialist. The results were analyzed by 3-dimensional analysis (Circle Diagram) leading to the creation of design work. The results of the analysis and review of the children's literature to the target children are special children, Anuban Rattanaburi.

The results of the study found that the special child is the child with sensory impairment. The seven things to help develop are the stimulation and integration of the sensory of special children by areas that can stimulate sensory perception of special children is an area where children can do activities together with friends and teachers, including the use of natural textures and the lifestyle of the community. As a result, the child develops and learns more with thier friends

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1.ศึกษาและวิเคราะห์พฤติกรรมของเด็กพิเศษต่อการรับรู้ประสาทสัมผัสทั้ง 7 2.ศึกษาการออกแบบพื้นที่เพื่อการกระตุ้นประสาทสัมผัสการรับรู้ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนาประสาทสัมผัสทั้ง 7 ของเด็ก 3.ศึกษาแนวทางในการออกแบบนิเทศศิลป์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการออกแบบพื้นที่การใช้งานออกแบบเรขศิลป์สิ่งแวดล้อม (Environmental Graphic Design) เพื่อช่วยสนับสนุนในการออกแบบพื้นที่ที่ตอบโจทย์การแก้ปัญหาในเชิงพื้นที่ได้ 4.เสนอแนะแนวทางในการออกแบบพื้นที่ปรับสภาพแวดล้อมเพื่อกระตุ้นประสาทสัมผัสการรับรู้ของเด็กพิเศษที่ช่วยพัฒนาประสาทสัมผัสการรับรู้ของเด็กและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของเด็กได้ โดยนำองค์ความรู้จากวิถีชีวิตพื้นถิ่นของอ.รัตนบุรี จ.สุรินทร์ มาเป็นแนวคิดผ่านกระบวนการแปรรูปสู่การออกแบบ และนำไปสู่การออกแบบพื้นที่ปรับสภาพแวดล้อมเพื่อกระตุ้นประสาทสัมผัสของเด็กพิเศษ ที่สอดคล้องกับวิถีชีวิตของคนในชุมชน

ในการวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน (Mixed Method Research) โดยเลือกใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) และวิจัยเชิงทดลอง (Experimental Research) โดยการใช้การสังเกต(Observation) การสัมภาษณ์ (Interview) การเล่าเรื่อง (narrative) การบรรยายเปรียบเทียบ(comparative description) จากครูผู้ดูแลเด็กพิเศษโรงเรียนอนุบาลรัตนบุรี จ.สุรินทร์ และแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านพัฒนาการเด็ก นำผลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยการวิเคราะห์แบบ 3ด้าน (Circle Diagram) นำไปสู่การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานการออกแบบ และนำผลที่ได้จากการวิเคราะห์และทบทวนวรรณกรรมไปทดลองกับเด็กกลุ่มเป้าหมาย คือ เด็กพิเศษโรงเรียนอนุบาลรัตนบุรี

ผลจากการศึกษาพบว่า เด็กพิเศษคือเด็กที่มีการบกพร่องทางการทำงานของสมองด้านประสาทสัมผัสทั้ง 7 สิ่งที่จะช่วยพัฒนาได้คือการกระตุ้นและบูรณาการประสาทสัมผัสทั้ง 7 ของเด็กพิเศษ โดยพื้นที่ที่สามารถกระตุ้นการรับรู้ประสาทสัมผัสของเด็กพิเศษได้ดีเป็นพื้นที่ที่เด็กสามารถทำกิจกรรมร่วมกันกับเพื่อน และคุณครูได้ รวมไปถึงการใช้วัสดุพื้นผิวตามธรรมชาติและสอดแทรกวิถีชีวิตของพื้นถิ่นเข้ามาช่วย ส่งผลให้เด็กเกิดการพัฒนาและเรียนรู้พร้อมกับกับเพื่อนมีการปฏิสัมพันธ์กันมากขึ้น
