FACTORS CONTRIBUTE TO THE PUBLIC MIND BEHAVIORS OF STUDENTS IN SILPAKORN UNIVERSITY PHETCHABURI INFORMATION TECHOLOGY CAMPUS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study public mind behavior, self-efficacy, social support, and participation in student activities of students at Silpakorn University Phetchaburi IT Campus, 2) to compare public mind behavior of sample students, classified by gender, year of university, faculty, learning achievement, participation experience in public mind activities, and 3) to study the influence of self-efficacy, social support, and participation in student activities on public mind behavior of sample students. The sample of this study was 375 students at Silpakorn University Phetchaburi IT Campus. The sample was selected based on Stratified Random Sampling. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument to collect data. Data collected were then analyzed using statistics including percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis.

The results of this study indicated as follows:

1. Public mind behavior, self-efficacy, social support, and participation in student activities of the respondents were at a high level.

2. In terms of factors affecting public mind behavior, the respondents with different year of university, faculty, learning achievement had different public mind behavior with a statistical significance level of .05. The respondents with gender and participation in public mind activities had indifferent public mind behavior.

3. Self-efficacy, social support, and participation in student activities could jointly predict 65.1% of the variation in factors influencing public mind behavior of students at Silpakorn University Phetchaburi IT Campus with a statistical significance level of .001

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1. เพื่อศึกษาระดับพฤติกรรมจิตสาธารณะ การรับรู้ความสามารถของตนเอง การได้รับการสนับสนุนทางสังคมทางสังคม การมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมนักศึกษา ของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วิทยาเขตสารสนเทศเพชรบุรี 2. เพื่อเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมจิตสาธารณะของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วิทยาเขตสารสนเทศเพชรบุรี โดยจำแนกตาม เพศ ระดับชั้นปี คณะวิชา ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนประสบการณ์การเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมจิตสาธารณะ 3. เพื่อศึกษาการรับรู้ความสามารถของตนเอง การได้รับการสนับสนุนทางสังคม การมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมนักศึกษา เป็นปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อพฤติกรรมจิตสาธารณะของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วิทยาเขตสารสนเทศเพชรบุรีกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาเป็นนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วิทยาเขตสารสนเทศเพชรบุรี จำนวน 375 คน ได้มาโดยการกำหนดขนาดแบบใช้วิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบแบ่งชั้น (Stratified Random Sampling) ตามสัดส่วนประชากร เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็นแบบสอบถามที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้น สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าที (t-test) วิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (One-way ANOVA) และวิเคราะห์การถดถอยพหุคูณตามลำดับความสำคัญของตัวแปรที่นำเข้าสมการ (Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis)

ผลการศึกษา พบว่า

1. พฤติกรรมจิตสาธารณะ การรับรู้ความสามารถของตนเอง การได้รับการสนับสนุนทางสังคม การมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมนักศึกษา อยู่ในระดับมาก

2. ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อพฤติกรรมจิตสาธารณะของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วิทยาเขตสารสนเทศเพชรบุรี เมื่อจำแนกตามระดับชั้นปี คณะวิชา ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน พบว่าแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 เมื่อจำแนกตาม เพศและประสบการณ์การเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมจิตสาธารณะภายนอกมหาวิทยาลัย พบว่าไม่แตกต่างกัน

3. การรับรู้ความสามารถของตนเอง การได้รับการสนับสนุนทางสังคม การมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมนักศึกษา สามารถร่วมกันทำนายปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อพฤติกรรมจิตสาธารณะของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วิทยาเขตสารสนเทศเพชรบุรี ได้ร้อยละ 65.1 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .001
