CULTURAL LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT OF KADKONGTA, LAMPANG

Abstract

This research was aimed to study the guidelines for managing the Kadkongta’s community cultural landscape in Lampang, which in the past was a major commercial center of the northern region, a port for trading goods as well as being the community of people from various nationalities including European and Chinese that very influenced in the area and demonstrated through the ancient arts architecture and culture of Lampang. Nowadays, Kadkongta are economic source and tourist attraction of Lampang, but the problems lie with this conservation areas are development trend of the city have invaded nearby areas effect to some of beautiful architectural and cultural landscape have destroyed from economic prosperity. Based on our data collected from sample group of Kadkongta, it found that tenement buildings with modern architecture and followed by shop signs / advertising signs are threat of Kadkongta community’s landscape, culture and physical characteristics. Physically change of community are the reason that need study history of Kadkongta cultural landscape from the past to the present. Therefore, we have an intention to propose the research guidelines to maintain and manage the cultural landscape of Kadkongta. The management of cultural landscape includes 1. Maintenance 2. Maintaining the condition 3. Functional adjustment 4. New development and creation. By consider the cultural landscape design approach of Kadkongta to connect the people with the place in both of community activities and tourist’s activities to make Kadkongta, Lampang as a place that maintains identity of community and real cultural landscape sustainability.

ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ต้องการศึกษาถึงแนวทางการจัดการภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมชุมชนกาดกองต้าจังหวัดลำปาง ในอดีตเป็น ศูนย์กลางทางการค้าทางน้ำที่สำคัญของภาคเหนือ เป็นท่าจอดเรือขนถ่ายสินค้าขึ้น-ลง และย่านชุมชนที่มีหลากหลายเชื้อชาติ มีการตั้งถิ่นฐาน โดยจะมี 2 ชาติพันธุ์ใหญ่ที่มีอิทธิพลมาก คือ ชาวยุโรปกับชาวจีน จึงทำให้วัฒนธรรมชุมชนกาดกองต้า จังหวัดลำปาง ได้แสดงให้เห็นถึง สถาปัตยกรรมแบบผสมผสานของศิลปวัฒนธรรมเก่าแก่ของจังหวัดลำปาง ปัจจุบันชุมชนกาดกองต้าเป็นทั้งแหล่งเศรษฐกิจที่รุ่งเรื่อง และแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางศิลปวัฒนธรรมของจังหวัดลำปาง แต่ปัญหาที่แฝงมากับพื้นที่อนุรักษ์เช่นนี้คือ พื้นที่ใกล้เคียงถูกกระแสการพัฒนาของเมืองรุกเร้า ภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมทางสถาปัตยกรรม ถูกความเจริญทางเศรษฐกิจ เข้ามาทำลายทัศนียภาพที่สวยงาม

จากการเก็บข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณ ของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง พบว่า ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามคิดว่าสิ่งที่เป็นภัยคุกคามต่อพื้นที่ ชุมชนกาดกองต้า ทางด้านภูมิทัศน์ วัฒนธรรม และลักษณะทางกายภาพ คืออาคารตึกแถวที่มีสถาปัตยกรรมสมัยใหม่ และรองลงมาคือ ป้ายร้านค้า/ ป้ายโฆษณา ต่าง ๆ การเปลี่ยนแปลงทางกายภาพที่ชัดเจนของชุมชน ทำให้การวิจัยครั้งนี้ต้องการศึกษาตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบันว่า ประวัติศาสตร์ ความเป็นมาของชุมชนกาดกองต้า จากเดิมมีภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมที่มีคุณค่าแก่ชุมชนอย่างไร นำไปสู่การวิเคราะห์ภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิมของชุมชน ส่งผลมาที่ปัจจุบัน การจัดการของชุมชน ส่งเสริมหรือส่งผลต่อภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมชุมชนไปในแนวทางใด และต้องการจะนำเสนอแนวทางการวิจัย เพื่อรักษาภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมของกาดกองต้า ให้มีคุณค่าอยู่คู่กับชุมชน อีกทั้งนำเสนอแนวทางที่ชุมชนมีส่วนร่วม ในการจัดการร่วมกันดูแล สำนึกรักษ์และเกิดความหวงแหน ในศิลปวัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิม เพื่อให้เห็นถึงเอกลักษณ์ของชุมชน โดยการการจัดการภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรม ได้แก่ 1. การดูแลรักษา 2. การรักษาให้คงสภาพ 3. การปรับประโยชน์ใช้สอย 4. การพัฒนาและสร้างสรรค์ใหม่ โดยคำนึงถึงแนวทางการออกแบบภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมของกาดกองต้า ให้พื้นที่ของชุมชนนี้เชื่อมโยงกับผู้คน ทั้งกิจกรรมของชุมชน และกิจกรรมของนักท่องเที่ยว อย่างมีความหมาย ทำให้พื้นที่ชุมชนกาดกองต้าจังหวัดลำปาง เป็นชุมชนที่คงความเป็นภูมิทัศน์วัฒนธรรมอย่างยั่งยืนที่แท้จริง
