JEWELRY TO SEEK HELP FOR WOMEN BY AZTEC CULTURE

Abstract

The following jewelry collection is inspired from the culture of Ashtech, a tribe from Africa. The Ashtech tribe is well known for their protective spirit as they never allowed the outsiders to attack their land. Therefore, the spirit of the Ashtech tribe is adapted into a functional jewelry collection, as it is designed to work as the protecting device for women in emergency circumstances.

The civilization and the cultures of the Ashtech tribe in the aspects of their aesthetic and symbols are the major elements of the jewelry collection designing process. The jewelry collection will capture the beauty of the Ashtech tribe’s culture along with the protecting function. During the emergency circumstance, the jewelry will be attached to the reachable areas on the body to make it convenient for the usage. The collection is composed with four pieces of jewelry, which are a necklace, a brooch, a bracelets and a pair of earrings. Their functions are to help the victim reach for help and attach color to the criminal in order to make them recognizable. Throughout the designing process, various materials are explored to find the most suitable and effective way of protecting the victim. Moreover, the inspiration from the Ashtech tribe is aiming to create the bravery spirit to the victim whenever and wherever they experience the unexpected situation.

การวิจัยและออกแบบเครื่องประดับเพื่อใช้ขอความช่วยเหลือสำหรับผู้หญิง ที่ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากวัฒนธรรมของชนเผ่าแอชเทคทั้งเรื่องวิธีการในการปกป้องผืนแผ่นดิน และอาณาเขตของตัวเองไม่ให้ชนเผ่าอื่นมารุกรานได้ รวมถึงความเชื่อและความศรัทธา ในเรื่องการนับถือพระอาทิตย์เป็นเทพเจ้าการบูชายัญพระอาทิตย์ การนับเวลา และการใช้สัญลักษณ์ในแบบของตัวเอง รวมถึงการดำรงชีวิตต่าง ๆ ที่ลึกลับและน่าค้นหา ซึ่งเครื่องประดับที่ได้ออกแบบนี้จะเป็นอุปกรณ์เพื่อขอความช่วยเหลือเมื่อเกิดภัยอันตรายต่าง ๆ และเพื่อป้องกันตัวเองจากภัยอันตรายรอบตัว ที่สามารถเกิดขึ้นได้ทุกที่ ทุกเวลา เพื่อให้ปลอดภัยทั้งชีวิตและทรัพย์สิน

การวิจัยนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาอารยธรรม วัฒนธรรม พิธีกรรม และการดำรงชีวิตของชนเผ่าแอชเทค รวมถึงลวดลายความหมาย ของสัญลักษณ์ต่าง ๆ ของชนเผ่าแอชเทค และออกแบบและสร้างเครื่องประดับที่ใช้เป็นอุปกรณ์ในการขอความช่วยเหลือ เมื่อเกิดภัยอันตรายสำหรับผู้หญิง กระบวนการวิจัยนั้นได้ศึกษาข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับอารยธรรม วัฒนธรรม พิธีกรรม ความเชื่อ การดำรงชีวิต สัญลักษณ์และลวดลายของชนเผ่าแอชเทค เพื่อนำมาใช้ในการออกแบบเครื่องประดับ และศึกษาเกี่ยวกับอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้ในการป้องกันตัวจากภัยอันตรายในยุคสมัยปัจจุบัน รวมถึงท่าทางพื้นที่ของร่างกายที่มักเสี่ยงต่อการถูกจู่โจมได้ง่ายและจำเป็นต้องปกป้องเป็นพิเศษเพื่อนำมาวิเคราะห์และนำไปใช้ในการออกแบบเครื่องประดับ

จากกระบวนการดังกล่าวจึงนำมาสู่การสร้างสรรค์เครื่องประดับใช้เป็นอุปกรณ์ในการขอความช่วยเหลือเมื่อเกิดภัยอันตรายสำหรับผู้หญิง ซึ่งการสร้างเครื่องประดับในชุดนี้ จะทำให้ผู้ที่สวมใส่มีความมั่นใจ และสามารถรับมือกับสถานการณ์อันตรายที่ไม่คาดคิดได้
