Thao Bae Wat tha kok kae’s version, Phetchabun : A study of Didactic Literature

Abstract

This independent studies the local literature Thao Bae, Wat Tha Kok Kae’s version, Tan Diao subdistrict, Lomsak, Phetchabun, inscribe by Thai Noi alphabet. The book has 188 pages with complete content for studying the teaching appeared in local literature Tao Bae.

The study results found that the local literature has several types of teachings. 1) Secular teachings about the role of the king, the queen, the people, the monks to do good to another, to be humble, to realized the favor of mother, to follow the customs and traditions, to be grateful and married life. 2) Buddhist doctrine that teach about Karma, The Five Precepts, roots of goodness, duties of the king and forgiveness.

There are two strategies selected by the author to present the teachings in Tao Bae. 1) Teaching through storytelling. By the different habits of characters, character's background, letting a character teaches another one and binary oppositions. Teaching through plots, including main plot and sub plots, the using of scenes: hell, heaven, and by the main theme. 2) Teaching through language. There are words show things to do or not to do. And teaching through figure of speeches, including simile and metaphor.

การค้นคว้าอิสระเล่มนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสาระคำสอนและกลวิธีการสอนที่ปรากฏในวรรณกรรมท้องถิ่นเรื่องท้าวแบ๊ ฉบับวัดท่ากกแก ตำบลตาลเดี่ยว อำเภอหล่มสัก จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ ที่จารด้วยตัวอักษร ไทยน้อย จำนวน 1 ผูก 95 ใบลาน 188 หน้าลาน มีเนื้อหาสมบูรณ์

ผลการศึกษาพบว่าวรรณกรรมท้องถิ่นเรื่องท้าวแบ๊มีสาระคำสอน 2 ประเภท คือ 1) คำสอนคติทางโลก ได้แก่ สอนให้รู้จักบทบาทหน้าที่ของกษัตริย์ กษัตรี นางกำนัล ประชาชน และพระสงฆ์ สอนให้กระทำความดี สอนให้อ่อนน้อมถ่อมตน สอนให้บุตรตระหนักถึงความรักของมารดา สอนให้ปฏิบัติตามขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณี สอนให้กตัญญูต่อผู้มีพระคุณ และสอนการครองเรือน 2) คำสอนคติทางธรรม ได้แก่ สอนเรื่องกฎแห่งกรรม เรื่องศีลห้า เรื่องกุศลมูล เรื่องทศพิธราชธรรม และเรื่องอภัยทาน

กลวิธีการสอนที่ผู้แต่งเลือกใช้เพื่อนำเสนอสาระคำสอนในวรรณกรรมเรื่องท้าวแบ๊พบ 2 กลวิธี คือ 1) กลวิธีการสอนผ่านการเล่าเรื่อง ได้แก่ การสอนผ่านตัวละคร พบการสอนผ่านการสร้างลักษณะอุปนิสัยของตัวละคร การสอนผ่านภูมิหลังของตัวละคร การสอนผ่านการให้ตัวละครตัวหนึ่งกล่าวสอนตัวละครอีกตัวหนึ่ง และการสอนผ่านตัวละครแบบคู่ตรงข้าม การสอนผ่านโครงเรื่อง พบการสอนผ่านโครงเรื่องใหญ่และโครงเรื่องย่อย การสอนผ่านฉาก พบการสอนผ่านฉากนรกสวรรค์ และการสอนผ่านแนวคิดของเรื่อง พบการสอนผ่านแนวคิดหลักและแนวคิดรองของเรื่อง 2) กลวิธีการสอนผ่านทางภาษา ได้แก่ การสอนผ่านการใช้ถ้อยคำ พบการใช้ถ้อยคำแสดงการบอกให้กระทำและการใช้ถ้อยคำแสดงการห้ามไม่ให้กระทำ และการสอนผ่านการใช้ภาพพจน์ พบการใช้ภาพพจน์อุปมาและภาพพจน์อุปลักษณ์
