อรรถกถาจริยาปิฎก : การศึกษาในฐานะวรรณกรรมพระพุทธศาสนา

Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเนื้อเรื่อง กลวิธีการเรียบเรียงเรื่อง กลวิธีการเล่าเรื่อง และกลวิธีทางวรรณศิลป์ เพื่อให้เข้าถึง การบำเพ็ญบารมีของพระโพธิสัตว์ในอรรถกถาจริยาปิ ฎกจำนวน 35 เรื่อง เพื่อจะได้เห็นลักษณะเฉพาะของอรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกในฐานะ วรรณกรรมพระพุทธศาสนา ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เนื้อเรื่องในอรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกคล้ายคลึงกับอรรถกถาชาดก เมื่อเปรียบเทียบเนื้อเรื่องในอรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกกับ อรรถกถาชาดกพบว่า อรรถกถาจารย์ใช้กลวิธีการดัดแปลงเนื้อเรื่องในอรรถกถาจริยาปิฎก 3 วิธี ได้แก่ 1) การเพิ่ม แบ่งเป็นการเพิ่มความใหม่ และการขยายความ 2) การเปลี่ยนแบ่งเป็นการเปลี่ยนความและการเปลี่ยนรายละเอียด และ 3) การตัด แบ่งเป็นการตัดความ และการตัด รายละเอียด กลวิธีที่ใช้มากที่สุดคือการตัดรายละเอียด และกลวิธีที่เลือกใช้น้อยที่สุดคือการเปลี่ยน กลวิธีที่ใช้นี้ไม่ได้ทา ให้โครงเรื่องของ อรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกแตกต่างกับอรรถกถาชาดก แต่ช่วยเน้นเรื่องการบำเพ็ญบารมีของพระโพธิสัตว์ให้เด่นชัดยิ่งขึ้น ซึ่งเป็นวัตถุประสงค์หลักของการเล่าเรื่องในอรรถกถาจริยาปิฎก ในด้านกลวิธีการเรียบเรียงเรื่องพบว่า อรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกมีกลวิธีการเรียบเรียงเรื่องอย่างเป็นระบบสามารถแบ่งองค์ประกอบการเล่า เรื่องได้ 4 ส่วน ได้แก่ 1) ส่วนนำเรื่อง ประกอบด้วยคันถารัมภกถา และนิทานกถา 2) ส่วนเกริ่นนำ (ปัจจุบันวัตถุ) เป็นส่วนนำเรื่องก่อนเข้าสู่ เนื้อเรื่องในอรรถกถาจริยาปิ ฎก 3) ส่วนเนื้อเรื่องในอรรถกถาจริยาปิ ฎก 35 เรื่อง ประกอบด้วยเหตุการณ์หลักจำนวน 12 เหตุการณ์ ได้แก่ ความเป็นมาของตัวละคร การได้รับสมบัติ การสังเวช การตั้งความปรารถนา การละทิ้ง การบำ เพ็ญบารมี การพบอุปสรรค การตั้งมั่น การได้รับ การช่วยเหลือ การพ้นอุปสรรค การช่วยเหลือผู้อื่น และการเทศนา การเกิดเหตุการณ์เหล่านี้อาจมีการข้ามบางเหตุการณ์ และสลับที่เหตุการณ์ได้ อย่างเป็นเหตุเป็นผลกัน และ 4) ส่วนปิดเรื่อง แบ่งได้ 3 ส่วน ได้แก่ สโมธานรวมและอรรถกถารวมจริยา ปกิณณกกถา และคา ลงท้าย ในด้านกลวิธีการเล่าเรื่องพบว่า อรรถกถาจริยาปิ ฎกใช้ผู้เล่าเรื่อง 3 ประเภท ได้แก่ ผู้เล่าเรื่องที่ไม่ใช่ตัวละครในเรื่องแบบผู้รู้ ผู้เล่าเรื่อง ที่เป็นตัวละครในเรื่องแบบพยานคือพระอานนท์ และผู้เล่าเรื่องที่เป็นตัวละครหลักแบบเปิดเผยตัวคือพระพุทธเจ้า เมื่อพิจารณาการจัดลำดับเวลา ในเรื่องเล่ายังสามารถแบ่งการเล่าเรื่องได้ 2 ประเภท ได้แก่ การเล่าเรื่องที่สัมพันธ์กับลำดับเวลาในเรื่อง พบว่ามีการเล่าเรื่องสลับไปมาระหว่าง ปัจจุบันกับอดีต และการเล่าเรื่องที่สัมพันธ์กับเวลาของผู้อ่านพบว่ามีการเล่าเรื่องแบบย่อและการหยุด ในด้านกลวิธีทางภาษาพบว่า อรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกใช้กลวิธีทางภาษาที่ส าคัญ 2 วิธี มาถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวการบำเพ็ญบารมีของ พระโพธิสัตว์ ได้แก่ 1 ) การใช้ความเปรียบ 3 ประเภท ได้แก่ การเปรียบเทียบโดยตรง การเปรียบเทียบโดยนัย และการเปรียบเทียบแบบผสม 2) การใช้โวหาร 4 ประเภท ได้แก่ บรรยายโวหาร พรรณนาโวหาร อธิบายโวหาร และเทศนาโวหาร โดยมีการใช้บรรยายโวหารเป็นโวหารหลัก ในการเล่าเหตุการณ์ในเรื่อง การใช้ความเปรียบและโวหารเป็นส่วนสำคัญที่ช่วยอธิบายเรื่องราวในอรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกได้ชัดเจน ทำให้ผู้อ่าน เข้าใจลักษณะและขั้นตอนการบำเพ็ญบารมีของพระโพธิสัตว์มากยิ่งขึ้น ในด้านการบำเพ็ญบารมีของพระโพธิสัตว์ในอรรถกถาจริยาปิฎก สามารถแบ่งการบำเพ็ญบารมีโดยใช้เกณฑ์ความยากง่าย หรือสิ่งที่ สละได้ 3 ขั้น ได้แก่ ขั้นบารมี คือการสละทรัพย์ บุตรและภรรยา ขั้นอุปบารมี คือการสละร่างกาย และขั้นปรมัตถบารมี คือการสละชีวิต พบว่า พระโพธิสัตว์บำเพ็ญบารมีขั้นบารมีมากที่สุดจำนวน 14 เรื่อง สาเหตุที่พบว่าพระโพธิสัตว์บำเพ็ญบารมีขั้นบารมีมากที่สุดอาจเป็นเพราะเป็นขั้น ปกติที่ทำได้ง่ายที่สุดในการบำเพ็ญบารมีท้ัง 3 ขั้น อย่างไรก็ตามพระโพธิสัตว์จะบำเพ็ญบารมียากบ้าง ง่ายบ้างทุกพระชาติจนกว่าบารมีจะบริบูรณ์ และได้ตรัสรู้เป็นพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า การศึกษาอรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกทำให้เห็นว่า แม้อรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกจะได้รับอิทธิพลด้านเนื้อหามาจากอรรถกถาชาดกแต่ก็นำมา เรียบเรียงใหม่โดยใช้กลวิธีการประพันธ์ที่มีลักษณะเฉพาะและสอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์ของการเล่าเรื่อง คือการแสดงให้เห็นถึงความเพียรใน การบำเพ็ญบารมีของพระพุทธเจ้าเมื่อครั้งเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์ ด้วยมีปณิธานที่แน่วแน่ที่จะช่วยสรรพสัตว์ให้พ้นทุกข์ อรรถกถาจริยาปิฎกจึงเป็น คัมภีร์ที่เลือกอรรถกถาชาดกบางเรื่องมาเล่าใหม่เพื่อเชิดชูบทบาทของพระพุทธเจ้าให้สูงเด่นขึ้นในฐานะพระศาสดาที่มีความกรุณาต่อสรรพสัตว์ ทั้งหลาย

The purposes of this research were to study the content of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka, the composition arrangement of 35 stories in Atthakatha Cariyapitaka, and the narrative techniques and narrative description of the Bodhisattva’s Perfections Practice in Atthakatha Cariyapitaka in order to study the specific characteristics of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka. The analysis reveals that the content of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka is similar to the content of Atthakatha Jataka. The comparison of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka with Atthakatha Jataka is found that there are 3 re-narration techniques: 1) addition is renarration by giving content and details amplification, 2) alteration is re-narration by content and details alteration. And deletion is renarration by content and details deletion. Most technique that was found is deletion and the alteration is very rarely found. Those techniques do not affect the plot of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka to be different from plot of Atthakatha Jataka, but all techniques are supposed to display the clearness of the Bodhisattva’s Perfections Practice which is the main purpose of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka. In term of the narrative style of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka is systematically arranged in the way of the narrative system of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka. It is found that Atthakatha Cariyapitaka is composed 4 parts: 1) background which can be divided into 2 types: Invocation of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka and Story of Buddha. 2) introduction 3) 35 stories narration of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka are composed of 12 situations :1) Background 2) Treasure getting 3) Commiseration 4) Desire 5) Desertion 6) Perfections Practice 7) Obstacle seeing 8) Persistence in a Perfections Practice 9) Help getting 10) Succeed in difficulty 11) Helping other 12) Preaching. And all situations are reasonable skipped and switched. 4) Ending can be divided into 3 types: Summary 35 stories narration of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka, Explanation of the Bodhisattva’s Perfections Practice and Ending. The study of narration technique is found that there are 3 kind of narrations: non-character (omniscient point of view), character in the name of witness, Anonda and the main character, the Lord of Buddha. In the way of narrative time scheduled conduction can be divided into 2 ways: 1) step-by-step narration which can be switched between present and past and 2) summary and stop narration. In terms of story description has found into 2 methods: 1) metaphor; explicit metaphors, implicit metaphors and mix metaphors. 2) 4 Narrative styles; narrative, description, exposition and also argumentation. Narrative is used for the main way of story narration. Metaphor and Narrative styles are important to narrate to easy to understand the Bodhisattva’s Perfections Practice in Atthakatha Cariyapitaka. The Bodhisattva’s Perfections Practice in Atthakatha Cariyapitaka can be divided into 3 types levels: 1) ordinary perfections, sacrifice by making sacrifice personal properties child and wife, 2) superior perfections; sacrifice by making sacrifice his body and 3) supreme perfections, sacrifice by making sacrifice his life. The study is found that the Bodhisattva’s Perfections Practice mostly occurred to 14 stories by the rules of easiest way to do, however the Bodhisattva have done all of Perfections Practice until become enlightened. The study of Atthakatha Cariyapitaka reveals that even if the narrative styles conception and some story are applied from Atthakatha Jataka, but it also has their own identity which related to the story objective that is the aims to narrate the attempt of the Bodhisattva perfection practice to help and release all living creatures. In this way, Atthakatha Cariyapitaka is treatise which took some stories of Atthakatha Jataka to re-narrate according to praise the Lord of Buddha who is being kind to all living creatures.
