พัฒนาการของคำยืมภาษาเขมรที่ปรากฏในพจนานุกรมไทย

Abstract

วิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้มุ่งศึกษาพัฒนาการของคำยืมภาษาเขมรที่ปรากฏในพจนานุกรมไทย โดยศึกษาพัฒนาการด้านจำนวนศัพท์ พัฒนาการด้านกลุ่มความหมาย และพัฒนาการด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงความหมายของพจนานุกรมไทยในสมัยต่างๆ จากคำตั้งในพจนานุกรมไทย ตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. ๒๓๘๙ – ๒๕๕๔ จำนวน ๙ เล่ม โดยแบ่งเป็น ๓ สมัย ผลการศึกษาพบว่าคำยืมภาษาเขมรมีจำนวนเพิ่มขึ้นเรื่อยๆตามยุคสมัย และพบมากที่สุดในสมัยที่ ๓ เมื่อตัดคำที่ซ้ำกันระหว่างสมัยออกแล้วพบว่าคำยืมภาษาเขมรในพจนานุกรมไทยมีทั้งหมด ๘๑๙ คำ ซึ่งสามารถจำแนกได้เป็น ๑๙ กลุ่มความหมาย ได้แก่ กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับกิริยาอาการ กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับลักษณะ กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับคำเรียกบุคคล กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับอาชีพ สถานะ ตำแหน่งหน้าที่การงาน กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับการแต่งกาย กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับร่างกายมนุษย์ กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับอาหารและการปรุงอาหาร กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับสุขภาพและความเจ็บป่วย กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับสิ่งของและเครื่องมือเครื่องใช้ กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับสิ่งก่อสร้างและที่อยู่อาศัย กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับจำนวน ลำดับ และปริมาณ กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับความเชื่อ ประเพณี และพิธีกรรม กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับพืช กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับสัตว์ กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับธรรมชาติ กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับการเมืองการปกครอง กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับภาษาและศิลปะ กลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับวันและเวลา และกลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับตำแหน่งที่อยู่และทิศทาง โดยพบว่าคำยืมในกลุ่มความหมายเกี่ยวกับกิริยาอาการมีจำนวนมากที่สุด สำหรับพัฒนาการด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงความหมาย พบคำที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงความหมายถึง ๓๐๕ คำหรือประมาณร้อยละ ๓๗.๒๔ ของคำยืมภาษาเขมรทั้งหมด โดยการเปลี่ยนแปลงความหมายแบบกว้างออกเป็นลักษณะการเปลี่ยนแปลงความหมายที่พบมากที่สุด This thesis aims to research on the development of Khmer loanwords in Thai dictionaries and the development of their quantity, semantic aspects, and the semantic changes of Khmer loanwords in Thai dictionaries in the various periods. Consequently, the headwords from nine Thai dictionaries published from 1846 to 2011, which can be divided into three periods, are studied. The results of the research indicate that the quantity of Khmer loanword is continuously increased in each period, especially in the third period. However, when ignoring the words repeatedly shown in more than one period, 819 Khmer loanwords are found in Thai dictionaries. By considering their semantic aspects, these loanwords are divided into 19 groups : 1.loanwords about actions and manners 2.loanwords about characteristics 3. loanwords about address terms 4. loanwords about occupations, statuses and job positions 5. loanwords about dressing 6. loanwords about human organs 7. loanwords about foods and cookery 8. loanwords about health and sickness 9. loanwords about stuffs and implements 10. loanwords about buildings and dwellings 11. loanwords about number, order and quantity 12. loanwords about believes, customs and rites 13. loanwords about plants 14. loanwords about animals 15. loanwords about nature 16. loanwords about politics and administration 17. loanwords about languages and arts 18. loanwords about date and time and 19. loanwords about positions and directions. The largest group is the group of Khmer loanwords about actions and manners. In terms of the development of semantic aspects, 305 loanwords or 37.24% of total Khmer loanwords have some semantic changes, and the extended semantic change is mostly found.
