THE DEVELOPMENT OF READING COMPREHENSION ABILITY OF MATTHAYOMSUKSA 2 STUDENTS USING JIGSAW TECHNIQUE WITH GRAPHIC ORGANIZER

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to compare reading comprehension ability of Matthayomsuksa 2 students before and after the learning management using jigsaw technique with graphic organizer. 2) to study the opinions of Matthayomsuksa 2 students towards the jigsaw technique with graphic organizer. The sample consisted of 23 students from Matthayomsuksa 2/3, Khaibangrachanwittayakom School, Khaibangrachan District, Singburi Province in the second semester of the academic year 2022, and using simple random sampling technique with a classroom unit. The research instruments were: 1) Lesson plans using the jigsaw technique with graphic organizer 2) Reading comprehension test 3) The questionnaire on the students’ opinions toward the jigsaw technique with graphic organizer. This research was pre-experimental with the one-group pretest-posttest design. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test for dependent.

The result of this research were as follows:

1. The reading comprehension ability of Matthayomsuksa 2 students after using the jigsaw technique with graphic organizer was significantly higher than before using the jigsaw technique with graphic organizer at .05 level.

2.The opinions of Matthayomsuksa 2 students towards the jigsaw technique with graphic organizer were at a high agreement level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านจับใจความของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ก่อนและหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคจิ๊กซอว์ร่วมกับผังกราฟิก และ 2) เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคจิ๊กซอว์ร่วมกับผังกราฟิก กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2/3 โรงเรียนค่ายบางระจันวิทยาคม อำเภอค่ายบางระจัน จังหวัดสิงห์บุรี ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2565จำนวน 23 คน ซึ่งได้มาจากการสุ่มอย่างง่าย (Simple Random Sampling) ด้วยวิธีการจับสลาก โดยใช้ห้องเรียนเป็นหน่วยสุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคจิ๊กซอว์ร่วมกับผังกราฟิก 2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการอ่านจับใจความ และ 3) แบบสอบถาม ความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคจิ๊กซอว์ร่วมกับผังกราฟิก โดยใช้การวิจัยแบบก่อนทดลอง (Pre-Experimental Design or Non Designs) แบบแผนการทดลองแบบกลุ่มเดียวสอบก่อนและสอบหลัง (The One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design) สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าทีแบบที่ไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน (t-test for dependent)

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า

1. ความสามารถในการอ่านจับใจความของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 หลังการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคจิ๊กซอว์ร่วมกับผังกราฟิกสูงกว่าก่อนการจัดการเรียนรู้ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2.ความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยเทคนิคจิ๊กซอว์ร่วมกับผังกราฟิก ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับเห็นด้วยมาก
