THE DEVELOPMENT OF CRITICAL READING ABILITY OF MATHAYOMSUKSA 6STUDENTS BY USING A READER RESPONSE MODEL

Abstract

The aims of this study were 1) to compare critical reading ability of Mathayomsuksa 6 students by using reader response model and 2) to study the opinions of Mathayomsuksa 6 students towards the reader response model. The sample group used in this research were 39 students from sample random sampling in Mathayomsuksa 6 Room 2 at Sirattanawittaya School, Sisaket provice, the secondary educational service area office Sisaket Yasothon, studying in the first semester, 2022 academic year. This research is conducted experiments by using learning activities for 8 periods and pretest and posttest 2 periods, totaling 10 periods. The instruments in this research are 1) lesson plans 2) critical reading ability test and 3) questionnaire on the opinions of Mathayomsuksa 6 students towards reader response model analyzed by using mean score, standard deviation (SD), and independent t-test score.

The results found that

1. The critical reading ability of Mathayomsuksa 6 students after using the reader response model (M = 14.41, SD=2.15) is higher than before (M = 9.15, SD=1.55), statistically significant at .05 level.

2. The opinions of Mathayomsuksa 6 students towards the reader response model are in the highest level. (M = 4.72, SD=0.34)

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถด้านการอ่านอย่างมีวิจารณญาณของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ด้วยรูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้การตอบสนองของผู้อ่าน และ 2) ศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อรูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้การตอบสนองของผู้อ่าน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6/2 โรงเรียนศรีรัตนวิทยา จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ สำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษาศรีสะเกษ ยโสธร ที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2565 ด้วยวิธีการการสุ่มอย่างง่าย (Simple Random Sampling) จำนวน 39 คน ดำเนินการทดลองโดยใช้เวลาจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ 8 คาบ ทดสอบก่อนและหลังเรียนอีก 2 คาบ รวม 10 คาบ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ 2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถด้านการอ่านอย่างมีวิจารณญาณ และ3) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยรูปแบบการตอบสนองของผู้อ่าน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติทดสอบทีแบบไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ความสามารถด้านการอ่านอย่างมีวิจารณญาณของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 หลังจัด การเรียนรู้ด้วยรูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้การตอบสนองของผู้อ่าน (M = 14.41, SD=2.15) สูงกว่าก่อนจัดการเรียนรู้ (M = 9.15, SD=1.55) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2. ความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยรูปแบบ การจัดการเรียนรู้การตอบสนองของผู้อ่าน ภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับเห็นด้วยมากที่สุด (M = 4.72, SD=0.34)
