Guidelines for the development of forensic evidence collection and crime scene protection by investigators in 10 police stations, Nakhon Pathom Province

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the knowledge and comprehension of forensic science and crime scene protection by investigators in 10 police station, Nakhon Pathom Province. The qualitative study was employed and 10 key informants was the investigators in the 10 police stations. It was found that the informants have a high level of knowledge and understanding of forensic evidence collection. The data also suggest that the level of education and work experience affect their understanding of forensic evidence collection. However, they showed no difference in the understanding of how to protect the crime scene.

วัตถุประสงค์ของงานวิจัยนี้เพื่อศึกษาความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับการเก็บรวบรวมพยานหลักฐานทางนิติวิทยาศาสตร์และการป้องกันสถานที่เกิดเหตุของพนักงานสอบสวนเขตพื้นที่จังหวัดนครปฐม เป็นผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญทั้งหมด 10 คน โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ในการวิจัยใช้แบบสอบถามในหัวข้อทั่วไปเกี่ยวกับการเก็บพยานหลักฐานและการป้องกันสถานที่เกิดเหตุ จากนั้นวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติพรรณณาและใช้วิธีนำเสนอข้อมูลในรูปตารางข้อมูลประกอบความเรียง พบว่า พนักงานสอบสวนเขตพื้นที่นครปฐมที่เป็นผู้ให้ข้อมูลนั้นมีความรู้และความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับการเก็บพยานหลักฐานทางนิติวิทยาศาสตร์ในระดับสูง โดยระดับการศึกษา ประสบการณ์ทำงานและตำแหน่งหน้าที่ มีผลต่อความเข้าใจ และในส่วนของการป้องกันสถานที่เกิดเหตุนั้น พบว่าพนักงานสอบสวนมีความเข้าใจไม่แตกต่างกัน
