A design Framework for Transport Node in old Town Area : Case Study of Rattanakosin

Abstract

From the study it was found that, the significant principle of travel transfer point is systematically connected transport system with convenience and safety. It can support many users in the future since infrastructural development project as MRT Orange Line and Purple Line will directly impact to the Phan Fa Lilat Bridge. Nevertheless, when applying the conceptual framework and collecting theoretical data about the traffic transfer to study the traffic transfer point area in the Phan Fa Lilat Bridge, it was found that this area has the problems and obstacles in functional space design, limitation of Mahakan Fort Park accessibility due to being an archaeological site and city wall, traffic transfer pattern including the problem about safety and facility. Therefore, this study will propose design guidelines by examining the study through interview for realizing the good design guidelines of the traffic transfer point and pleasant design as well as the design with respect to the context of Rattanakosin Old Town area.

Furthermore, it was found that the design needs the continuity between the traffic transfer point and public transportation system, improving the traffic pattern effectively, conveniently, fast, safe together with developing the area for supporting the visitors who will travel into this area in the future by designing according to pedestrian system connection and public area in order to support the traffic transfer rapidly, improve the area around the travel transfer point for the purpose of many activities in this area and being pleasant to use. Moreover, there will be used the area in travel transfer point effectively with the most benefit in the traffic transfer point as well. Including to design the pattern of traffic transfer point according to the context of old town and there is a guideline of building usage as a mixed-use concept in order to achieve good development further.

การวิจัยพบว่า หลักการสำคัญของการออกแบบจุดเปลี่ยนถ่ายการเดินทาง ได้แก่ ระบบขนส่งที่เชื่อมต่ออย่างเป็นระบบ สะดวกปลอดภัย และรองรับการใช้งานของผู้เข้าใช้งานที่จะเข้ามาในพื้นที่ในอนาคต เนื่องจากการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานอย่างโครงการรถไฟฟ้าสายสีส้ม และสายสีม่วง นั้นมีผลกระทบโดยตรงกับพื้นที่สะพานผ่านฟ้า แต่เมื่อนำกรอบแนวคิดและรวบรวมข้อมูลทฤษฎีเกี่ยวกับการเปลี่ยนถ่ายการสัญจร มาทำการศึกษาพื้นที่จุดเปลี่ยนถ่ายการสัญจรในบริเวณสะพานผ่านฟ้าลีลาศ พบว่า พื้นที่บริเวณดังกล่าวยังมีปัญหาในด้าน การออกแบบพื้นที่เพื่อการใช้งาน ปัญหาด้านการเข้าถึงพื้นที่สวนสาธารณะป้อมมหากาฬมีข้อจำกัด เนื่องจากเป็นโบราณสถานและกำแพงเมือง ปัญหาด้านรูปแบบการเปลี่ยนถ่ายการสัญจร รวมถึงปัญหาในการในด้านความปลอดภัย สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก การวิจัยจึงมุ่งเน้นเสนอแนวทางการออกแบบพื้นที่บริเวณดังกล่าว โดยได้นำแนวทางการออกแบบไปทดสอบผลการศึกษาผ่านการสัมภาษณ์ เพื่อให้ทราบถึง แนวทางในการออกแบบพื้นที่จุดเปลี่ยนถ่ายการสัญจรที่ดีว่าควรมีลักษณะเป็นเช่นใด การออกแบบที่น่าใช้งานควรมีลักษณะเป็นเช่นใด รวมถึงการออกแบบที่เคารพบริบทพื้นที่เมืองเก่ากรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ควรมีลักษณะเป็นเช่นใด

จากการทดสอบผลการศึกษาผ่านการสัมภาษณ์ พบว่าการออกแบบพื้นที่บริเวณดังกล่าวยังต้องการการออกแบบจุดเปลี่ยนถ่ายการสัญจร ระบบขนส่งสาธารณะให้เกิดความต่อเนื่อง เปลี่ยนรูปแบบการสัญจรอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ สะดวกสบาย รวดเร็ว และปลอดภัย ควบคู่ไปกับการพัฒนาพื้นที่เพื่อรองรับผู้คนที่เข้ามาใช้พื้นที่บริเวณดังกล่าวในอนาคต โดยออกแบบให้สอดคล้องเชื่อมต่อกับระบบทางเดินเท้า พื้นที่สาธารณะ เพื่อเอื้อต่อการเปลี่ยนถ่ายการสัญจรได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ปรับปรุงพื้นที่รอบจุดเปลี่ยนถ่ายการเดินทาง เพื่อให้พื้นที่มีความน่าใช้งาน และเกิดกิจกรรมขึ้นในพื้นที่ อีกทั้งเพื่อให้มีการใช้งานพื้นที่จุดเปลี่ยนถ่ายการเดินทางอย่างเต็มประสิทธิภาพ และเกิดประโยชน์อย่างสูงสุดขึ้นในพื้นที่จุดเปลี่ยนถ่ายการสัญจร รวมถึงมีการออกแบบพื้นที่จุดเปลี่ยนถ่ายการสัญจรให้มีรูปแบบที่สอดคล้องกับบริบทของเมืองเก่า และมีแนวทางในการใช้ประโยชน์อาคารแบบ mixed use เพื่อให้เกิดการพัฒนาที่ดีต่อไป
