DEVELOPMENT OF A PROGRAM TO PROMOTE DEMOCRATIC CITIZENSHIP CHARACTERISTICS OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS BASED ON CHALLENGE BASED LEARNING APPROACH

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) develop a program to promote democratic citizenship characteristics of secondary school students based on the concept of Challenge Based Learning 2) compare the democratic citizenship characteristics of secondary school students before and after the usage of Challenge Based Learning Program. The sample of this research consisted of 25 students, in the second semester of the academic year 2023 in Prommanusorn Phetchaburi School, Phetchaburi Province by volunteer selection. The research instrument used for data collection was the democratic citizenship characteristics of secondary school student test. The tool used in the experiment was a program to promote democratic citizenship characteristics of secondary school students based on the concept of challenge-based learning. The Data were analyzed by arithmetic Mean, Standard Deviation and T-test dependent.

The research findings were summarized as follows.

1. The program promotes democratic citizenship characteristics of secondary school students based on the concept of Challenge Based Learning. The components of the program are 1) Basic concepts 2) Principles 3) Characteristics 4) Qualifications 5) Contents 6) Learning activities 7) Learning media and 8) measurement and evaluation. Study through club activity courses, it was found to be appropriate and feasible at the highest level.

2. Characteristics of democratic citizenship of secondary school students after receiving activities with a program to promote democratic citizenship of secondary school students based on the concept of Challenge Based Learning after using program was higher than before using the program with statistical at .05 level of significance

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาโปรแกรมส่งเสริมคุณลักษณะความเป็นพลเมืองในวิถีประชาธิปไตยของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาตามแนวคิดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ความท้าทายเป็นฐาน 2) เปรียบเทียบคุณลักษณะความเป็นพลเมืองในวิถีประชาธิปไตยของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาก่อนและหลังได้รับการจัดกิจกรรมด้วยโปรแกรมการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ความท้าทายเป็นฐาน ตัวอย่างการวิจัยที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษา จำนวน 25 คน ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2566 โรงเรียนพรหมานุสรณ์จังหวัดเพชรบุรี จังหวัดเพชรบุรี ที่มาจากการคัดเลือกแบบอาสาสมัคร (Voluntary Selection) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ แบบวัดคุณลักษณะความเป็นพลเมืองในวิถีประชาธิปไตยของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ โปรแกรมส่งเสริมคุณลักษณะความเป็นพลเมืองในวิถีประชาธิปไตยของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาตามแนวคิดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ความท้าทายเป็นฐาน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และทดสอบค่าทีแบบไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน

ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้

1. โปรแกรมส่งเสริมคุณลักษณะความเป็นพลเมืองในวิถีประชาธิปไตยของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาตามแนวคิดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ความท้าทายเป็นฐานมีองค์ประกอบของโปรแกรมได้แก่ 1) แนวคิดพื้นฐานของโปรแกรม 2) หลักการของโปรแกรม 3) ลักษณะของโปรแกรม 4) คุณสมบัติของผู้เข้าร่วมโปรแกรม 5) เนื้อหาที่ใช้ในโปรแกรม 6) การจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ 7) สื่อการเรียนรู้ และ 8) การวัดและประเมินผลโปรแกรมผ่านกิจกรรมชุมนุม ที่มีความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้อยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด

2. คุณลักษณะความเป็นพลเมืองในวิถีประชาธิปไตยของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาที่ได้รับการจัดกิจกรรมด้วยโปรแกรมส่งเสริมคุณลักษณะความเป็นพลเมืองในวิถีประชาธิปไตยของนักเรียนมัธยมศึกษาตามแนวคิดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ความท้าทายเป็นฐานสูงขึ้นกว่าก่อนได้รับการจัดกิจกรรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
