The Development of Tale Books and Peer-assisted Learning Management to Enhance Read Aloud Ability of Prathomsuksa 3 Students

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) To develop tale books to improve the quality for enhancing the read-aloud ability of Prathomsuksa 3 students. 2) To compare the read-aloud ability of Prathomsuksa 3 students before and after study by using tale books and peer-assisted learning management and 3) to study the opinion of student about using Tale Books and Peer-Assisted Learning Management to enhance read aloud ability. The samples were 23 students Thairatwittaya Klongluang 69 School, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani province, Thailand during the second semester of Academic year 2023. They were selected by cluster random sampling. The research instruments were 1) the tale books 2) lesson plans 3) word-reading aloud test and 4) questionnaires to investigate student’s opinions by using the tale books and peer-assisted learning management to enhance read aloud ability. The data were analyzed by mean (M), standard deviation of items (SD) and t-test dependent.

The research findings were as follows:

1. The quality of the tale books is at its highest level (M=4.98, SD=0.02).

2. The ability to read aloud of Prathomsuksa 3 students after studying (M=16.35, SD=4.88), was higher than before learning (M=9.74, SD=3.48), and was statistically significant at .05 level.

3. The sample student had opinions about using tale books and peer-assisted learning management to enhance read-aloud ability. Overall, it was at a high level of agreement (M=2.96, SD=0.15).

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาหนังสือนิทานเพื่อส่งเสริมความสามารถด้านการอ่านออกเสียงคำของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ให้มีคุณภาพ 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความสามารถด้านการอ่านออกเสียงคำของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ก่อนและหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยหนังสือนิทานร่วมกับการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบเพื่อนช่วยเพื่อน และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยหนังสือนิทานร่วมกับการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบเพื่อนช่วยเพื่อน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 โรงเรียนไทยรัฐวิทยา 69 (คลองหลวง) อำเภอคลองหลวง จังหวัดปทุมธานี ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2566 จำนวน 23 คน โดยใช้การสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ 1) หนังสือนิทาน 2) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ 3) แบบวัดความสามารถด้านการอ่านออกเสียงคำ และ 4) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้ คือ ค่าเฉลี่ย (M) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (SD) และการทดสอบค่าทีแบบไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน (t-test dependent)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1) หนังสือนิทานเพื่อส่งเสริมความสามารถด้านการอ่านออกเสียงคำของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 มีคุณภาพในระดับมากที่สุด (M=4.98, SD=0.02)

2) ความสามารถด้านการอ่านออกเสียงคำของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 หลังการจัดการเรียนรู้ (M=16.35, SD=4.88) สูงกว่าก่อนการจัดการเรียนรู้ (M=9.74, SD=3.48) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ .05

3) ความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยหนังสือนิทานร่วมกับการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบเพื่อนช่วยเพื่อน ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับเห็นด้วยมาก (M=2.96, SD=0.15)
