THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMPREHENSIVE READING ABILITY OF PRATHOMSUKSA 6 STUDENTS USING OK5R SYSTEM WITH EXERCISES

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to compare the reading comprehension ability of Prathomsuksa 6 students before and after learning management using the OK5R system with exercises, and 2) to study Prathomsuksa 6 students' opinions toward learning management using the OK5R system with exercises.

The sample used in this research was Prathomsuksa 6/1 students in Anubankuiburi (Watwangyao), Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, while studying in the 1st semester of the academic year 2024. Simple random sampling was conducted by choosing 31 students of Prathomsuksa 6. The experimental design was for 2 weeks, 4 hours per week. And testing Pretest – Posttest to Prathomsuksa 6 students for 1 hour in each test. The total time of the experimental design was 10 hours. The instruments used in this research were 1) lesson plans 2) the comprehensive reading exercises 3) a reading comprehension test 4) a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by mean (M), standard deviation (SD), dependent samples t-test, and content analysis.

The research findings were as follows:

1. The reading comprehension ability of Prathomsueksa 6 students after learning management using the OK5R system with exercises was significantly higher than before learning management at the .05 level.

2. The Prathomsueksa 6 students' opinions towards learning management using the OK5R system with exercises were positive at a high level

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านจับใจความของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ก่อนและหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยวิธีการสอนแบบ OK5R ร่วมกับแบบฝึก 2) ศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยวิธีการสอนแบบ OK5R ร่วมกับแบบฝึก กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6/1 โรงเรียนอนุบาลกุยบุรี (วัดวังยาว) สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เขต 2 ที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2567 ด้วยวิธีการสุ่มอย่างง่าย (Simple random sampling) จำนวน 31 คน ดำเนินการทดลองเป็นระยะเวลา 2 สัปดาห์ สัปดาห์ละ 4 ชั่วโมง และทดสอบก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน อย่างละ 1 ชั่วโมง รวมเวลาที่ใช้ในการทดลองทั้งสิ้นจำนวน 10 ชั่วโมง

เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เรื่องการอ่านจับใจความ 2) แบบฝึกการอ่านจับใจความ 3) แบบทดสอบความสามารถการอ่านจับใจความ และ 4) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็น สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย (M) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (SD) สถิติทดสอบทีแบบกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน (Dependent sample t-test) และการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพโดยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content Analysis)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ความสามารถในการอ่านจับใจความของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่จัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยวิธีการสอนแบบ OK5R ร่วมกับแบบฝึกหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2. ความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้ด้วยวิธีการสอนแบบ OK5R ร่วมกับแบบฝึก โดยนักเรียนมีความคิดเห็นเชิงบวก และอยู่ในระดับมาก
