dc.description.abstract | Red tourism is a form of tourism that focuses on visiting sites related to the Communist Party of China. According to the NDRC, Red tourism is considered a significant type of tourism in China. This type of tourism not only educate visitors about history, but also foster patriotism to young Chinese people. Memorial exhibitions often display text and photos related to the war heroes. This mode of knowledge sharing often rely on self-guided viewing and sometimes with the help of tour guides. The key responsibility of the guides is to answer audiences’ questions regarding the memorial. However, there are only a few guides available per site and is not enough to fulfil the demands of the audience. Recent development in the field of Large Language Model (LLM) allows data to be accurately trained and can be used to create an artificial intelligence (AI) agent to act as a virtual guide. The researchers utilized the general Zhang Zizhong memorial hall in Hubei province as the content for the study. As the memorial has been designated as a national-level war memorial facility. The objectives of this study were to:1. Investigate, collect, and analyze textual and visual information regarding the general Zhang Zizhong memorial hall. 2.Study large language models. 3. Synthesize a framework to develop an AI guide equipped with Large Language Model consisting of the knowledge on the memorial hall. Visual and textual data regarding the memorial were collected by the researcher via field visits, questionnaire, and expert interviews. To arrive at the framework, the researchers interviewed artificial intelligence experts. The findings indicate that a digital docent based on a large language model can help young people learn about Zhang Zizhong Memorial Hall effectively. | en |
