| dc.description.abstract | Background and Aim: In recent years, driven by policy and increased health awareness, NanYue leisure sports tourism has developed rapidly. NanYue boasts superior natural resources, religious culture, and transportation conditions, giving it an advantage in developing leisure sports tourism. However, it still faces challenges such as product homogenization, insufficient supporting facilities and professional talent, limited market promotion, and ecological protection pressures. This study aims(1) to study the current situation of leisure sport tourism in NanYue, (2) to develop a guideline policy to promote leisure sport tourism in NanYue, and (3) to validate the feasibility of the guideline policy to promote leisure sport tourism in NanYue. Materials and Methods: This study employed a research and development approach, utilizing literature review, questionnaires, and interviews, and integrating quantitative and qualitative data with SWOT analysis to develop guidelines. A panel of nine experts conducted an assessment to evaluate the policy's feasibility. The questionnaire survey used simple random sampling to select 384 participants, and descriptive statistical methods (frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation) were used to analyze demographic and perceptual data. Additionally, 15 key information providers—3 tourism bureau staff, 9 tourism professionals, and 3 community residents—were selected to provide qualitative insights. Of the 384 respondents, 51.82% were female, with the 19-30 age group having the highest proportion at 44.27%. Tourists from other provinces accounted for 52.60%, indicating that Nanyue has strong national appeal.
