สถาปัตยกรรมยืดหยุ่น: การสร้างพื้นที่จากขอบเขตและความสัมพันธ์ที่ ยืดหยุ่น

Abstract

”การอยู่อาศัย” ไม่มีนัยยะที่ตายตัวและชัดเจน อันเนื่องมาจากในสังคมหนึ่งๆไม่ว่าจะเล็กในระดับครอบครัวหรือใหญ่ระดับชุมชน มนุษย์นั้นมีความแตกต่างและหลากหลายและในฐานะของผู้ออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรมแล้วการกำหนดลักษณะการอยู่ หรือวิธีการใช้งานอาคารที่ชัดเจนเกินไปนั้นค่อนจะเป็นการไม่ยุติธรรมสำหรับผู้อาศัยใช้งานอาคาร จึงเป็นคำถามที่ว่าในฐานะของผู้ออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรมแล้ว จะออกแบบเพื่อรองรับความหลากหลายดังที่กล่าวอย่างไร โดยผู้ศึกษาได้เสนอแนวคิดของสถาปัตยกรรมที่ยืดหยุ่น อันมีนัยยะหมายถึงสถาปัตยกรรมที่ไม่กำหนดวิธีการอยู่อาศัยที่ตายตัวชัดเจนแต่จะถูกวางเค้าโครงการอยู่และการใช้งานอย่างกว้างเพื่อให้วิธีการอยู่อาศัยนั้นรอให้คนมาตีความและเข้าใจการใช้งานพื้นที่ภายในอาคารด้วยตนเองว่าจะอยู่อาศัยในพื้นที่นั้นอย่างไร ทั้งนี้ผู้ศึกษาได้กำหนดขอบเขตของการศึกษาคือตัวสถาปัตยกรรมและองค์กระกอบพื้นฐาน เช่น พื้น ผนัง ต้องไม่สามารถปรับ หมุน เปิด-ปิด ได้ เพื่อทดลองว่าภายใต้องค์ประกอบของสถาปัตยกรรมที่ไม่สามารถปรับเปลี่ยนได้ จะสร้างความหลากหลายของวิธีการใช้งานได้มากที่สุดเท่าใด และออกแบบการทดลองเบื้องต้นโดยการเลือกวิธีการอยู่อาศัยในอาคารผ่านโครงการที่มีลักษณะของความคุ้นเคยในการใช้งานโครงการที่ต่างกัน 2 โครงการคือ บ้านพักคนชราที่ผู้ใช้งานหลักคุ้นเคยเพราะอยู่เป็นชีวิตประจำวันปกติเหมือนบ้านตนเองและสำนักงานเขตที่ผู้ใช้งานหลักไม่คุ้นเคยเนื่องจากไม่มีการใช้งานในชีวิตประจำวัน โดยจากการศึกษาเบื้องต้นพบว่าสิ่งที่สื่อสารถึงการอยู่และวิธีการใช้งานพื้นที่ว่าจะมีความจัดเจนเพียงใด คือลำดับของพื้นที่ ขนาดของพื้นที่และความเป็นส่วนตัวของพื้นที่หรือความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างพื้นที่ ซึ่งมีระบบพื้นที่และขอบเขตทางสถาปัตยกรรม เป็นปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อ 3 ประเด็นดังกล่าว หากพื้นที่หรือสถาปัตยกรรมมีการสื่อสารถึงการอยู่หรือวิธีการใช้งานที่ คลุมเครือมากเพียงใด ก็จะยิ่งเอื้อให้ผู้ใช้กำหนดรูปแบบวิธีการใช้งานได้ด้วยตนเอง และอาคารจะสนองต่อความหลากหลายของคนได้ดียิ่งขึ้น There’s no definitely meaning for “dwell in architecture”, and defining the definition for it seems unfair and authoritative for the users because the society is diverse. So the initial question for thesis studying methodology is how to design the architecture for the diversity and variation of usability The idea about flexible architecture which meant the architecture that non-obligatory the usage or how man inhabit in order to let the users customize their own domain proposed by researcher , as well as studying framework that the architecture elements should not be adjustable for understanding the critical point of the flexible and polyvalent use. The initial experiment design by selected 2 different architectural programs in the term of intimate usability. Elder home care is represent the intimate program , and the contrast expression program is district office. However , the initial studying processes began with studying how architectural communicate usability and habitation by studying architectural theory and case studies and followed by studying the functional relationship of each other program. By studying found that the factors that control the clarity of the usability communication are the spatial hierarchy , spatial dimension and privacy of space or spatial relationship , which controlled by spatial configuration and architectural boundary. Even the usability communication be ambiguous, even allow the users operate their own domain and usage. And even the architecture respond to diversity better.
