Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดและกระบวนการห่อหุ้มโดยมุ่งเป้าการศึกษาไปยังการห่อหุ้มอาหารไทย เป็นการห่อหุ้ม ซึ่งส่งเสริมให้สิ่งที่ถูกห่อหุ้มมีความพิเศษ และมีคุณค่า เพื่อนำไปสู่แนวทางการออกแบบงานเครื่องประดับที่รอการปรากฏตัวเพื่อเผยคุณค่าความงามที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปในวาระที่เหมาะสมผ่านผู้สวมใส่ อันเป็นความงามภายใต้คติแห่ง การห่อหุ้ม โดยที่สุนทรียภาพของเครื่องประดับที่ได้อยู่ภายใต้ความงามของการเกื้อหนุนซึ่งกันและกันระหว่างสิ่งที่อยู่ภายในและภายนอก กระบวนการวิจัยนั้น มีขั้นตอนในการศึกษาข้อมูลเพื่อรวบรวมเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับแนวคิด ของการห่อหุ้มโดยมุ่งเน้นไปที่รูปแบบการห่อหุ้มอาหารไทย จนพบว่าสามารถแบ่งแยกหน้าที่ในการใช้งานได้ 3 ประการด้วยกัน ได้แก่ การห่อหุ้มที่มีหน้าที่ด้านประโยชน์ใช้สอยโดยตรง หน้าที่ด้านประโยชน์ใช้สอยทางสังคม และหน้าที่ในเชิงสัญลักษณ์ ดังนั้นเมื่อวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลสามารถสรุปคติแห่งการห่อหุ้มได้ว่า การห่อหุ้มมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการปกปิด ปกป้อง สร้างความสำคัญให้กับสิ่งที่อยู่ภายในเพื่อรอการปรากฏตัวในเวลาที่เหมาะสม ซึ่งในกระบวนการห่อหุ้มนี้สิ่งที่อยู่ภายในและสิ่งที่ห่อหุ้มอยู่ภายนอกจะทำหน้าที่ส่งเสริมซึ่งกันและกัน จึงได้มีการนำคติแห่งการห่อหุ้มดังกล่าวมาเป็นแนวทางในการออกแบบผลงานเครื่องประดับโดยเริ่มจากการศึกษาและทดลองเพื่อค้นหาวัสดุที่สามารถสะท้อนแนวคิดได้เหมาะสมกว่าใบตอง ซึ่งในที่นี้ข้าพเจ้าตัดสินใจเลือกกระดาษไขโดยเริ่มต้นจากการทดลองห่อหุ้มเลียนแบบการห่ออาหารไทยด้วยใบตองแบบดั้งเดิม และพัฒนาด้วยวิธีการสังเคราะห์ทัศนธาตุเพื่อแยกแยะเฉพาะความงามที่เหมาะสม หลังจากนั้นจึงเข้าสู่กระบวนการค้นหาความสอดคล้องกับพื้นที่ของร่างกายในฐานะงานเครื่องประดับ ผลที่ได้สามารถสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงการทำงานร่วมกันระหว่างงานเครื่องประดับ ร่างกายและจิตใจของผู้สวมใส่จนเกิดเป็นการสร้างผลงานเครื่องประดับที่สะท้อนแนวคิดของคติแห่งการห่อหุ้มได้ จากกระบวนการศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทำให้ข้าพเจ้าค้นพบองค์ความรู้ที่สามารถนำมาสร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานเครื่องประดับที่แสดงออกถึงคติแห่งการห่อหุ้มได้อย่างเหมาะสมและสอดคล้องกับวัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัยและยังสามารถนำไปสร้างเป็นชุดงานเครื่องประดับที่ดียิ่งขึ้นในอนาคตได้ด้วยวิธีการพัฒนาด้านองค์ประกอบศิลป์และความสอดคล้องกับพื้นที่ติดตั้งบนร่างกายในฐานะงานเครื่องประดับต่อไป This research aims to study the concept and procedure of the encapsulation. Focusing on “the art of Thai’s food wrapping”, a cultural wisdom that by its process and result encourages special value to what’s inside. Contributing to the direction of jewelry design with hidden aesthetic value waiting to be transformed and revealed at the right moment through its wearer to represent the beauty under the principle of encapsulation. The aesthetics of the jewelry exists by the suspended between what is inside and outside. The researching process is the study to gather information relating to the concept of encapsulation, focusing on “the art of Thai’s food wrapping”. The analysis concludes that the wrapping has 3 functional purposes which are ‘Wrapping for direct functional purpose’, ‘Wrapping for social purpose’ and ‘Wrapping for symbolic purpose’. In summarize, the ideal of wrapping intends to conceal, protect and create importance to what’s inside waiting to appear at the right time. In wrapping process, the inside and outside elements act to contrast and support one another. This ideal of wrapping is the main direction of jewelry design. Starting from the study and experimentation to find the materials that can represent the idea more clearly than traditional banana leaves resulting in the decision to choose ‘stencil paper’ as a main material. The initial experimentation is to imitate banana leaves wrapping in traditional Thai’s food and develop the visual art elements to distinguish the particular beauty. The next process is to explore to find the right accordance in human body for jewelry. The result shows the coordination of jewelry, body and mind of the wearer that represent the ideal of wrapping. From the process of study and analysis, I discover the body of knowledge that can be realized into jewelry design that properly represents the ideal of wrapping and in accordance with the objectives of the research. The finding also can be explored further with the development of more art elements and area of body to be worn.
