เครื่องประดับจากวัฒนธรรมใบตองตึง: สุนทรียะยามรุ่งอรุณแห่งวิถีชาวปกาเกอะญอ

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสร้างสรรค์เครื่องประดับส่วนบุคคลที่แสดงถึงภูมิปัญญาวิถีชีวิตชาวปกาเกอะญอจากวัฒนธรรมใบตองตึงที่ส่งผลต่อจิตใจผู้วิจัยในเชิงคลายความวิตกกังวล และเสริมสร้างกำลังใจ ด้วยการระลึกนึกถึงบ้านในรูปแบบกิจกรรมเชิงพิธีกรรม ขอบเขตการวิจัยเป็นการศึกษาลักษณะทั่วไป ทางกายภาพของใบตองตึงในประเทศไทย วิถีชีวิต ภูมิปัญญา และกิจกรรมชาวปกาเกอะญอที่เกี่ยวข้องกับใบตองตึง ค้นหาคุณสมบัติทางวัสดุ เทคนิควิธีการ ทัศนธาตุที่แสดงลักษณะใบตองตึง จากการศึกษาวัฒนธรรมการ “เก็บและไพใบตองตึง” ของชาวปกาเกอะญอในวัยเด็กของผู้วิจัยพบว่า กิจกรรมการเก็บใบตองตึงในป่ากับมารดาทุกเช้าเพื่อสำรองไว้ซ่อมหลังคาบ้าน และการไพใบตองตึงเพื่อเป็นเครื่องหลังคา เป็นเสมือนพิธีกรรมซึ่งกลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของจิตวิญญาณของผู้วิจัยในเวลาปัจจุบัน แนวทางการศึกษาวิจัยรูปแบบเครื่องประดับด้วยการศึกษาทฤษฎีสัญศาสตร์ ขันธ์ 5 รูปแบบพิธีกรรมในยุคปัจจุบัน ศิลปินตัวอย่าง ข้อมูลทางวัสดุ เทคนิค กระบวนการผลิต วิเคราะห์สรุปข้อมูลสำหรับการสร้างเครื่องประดับ ออกแบบเขียนแบบ ทดลองสร้างชิ้นงานสามมิติ และสร้างชิ้นงานจริงด้วยองค์ประกอบตัวเรือนทองเหลืองที่มีรูปลักษณ์จากผลตองตึง ใบไม้ที่มีคุณลักษณะทางกายภาพคล้ายคลึงกับใบตองตึง ติดประกอบด้วยการไพ ติดตั้งบนเสื้อผ้าตามตำแหน่งอิริยาบถเพื่อการคลายวิตกกังวล 3 ตำแหน่ง คือ ต้นแขนขวา ข้อมือซ้าย และกระเป๋ากางเกงด้านข้าง สะท้อนถึงวิถีการติดตั้งเครื่องหลังคาใบตองตึงตามวิถีชาวปกาเกอะญอ จากการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานครั้งนี้ ผู้วิจัยพบว่าเครื่องประดับส่วนบุคคลเป็นเสมือนสวิตช์(switch)เปิดความทรงจำสู่สภาวะจิตอันสงบ ไร้กังวล ในอดีตสมัยวัยเยาว์ที่ส่งผลต่อสภาวะจิตปัจจุบันให้เป็นปกติสุข อันเป็นสุนทรียะเฉพาะบุคคลที่เกิดขึ้นในจิตของผู้วิจัย ซึ่งกระบวนการเกิด และรับรู้ความรู้สึกนั้นไม่อาจอธิบายได้ลึกซึ้งครบถ้วนด้วยหลักคิดของสัญศาสตร์ หลักวิชาแห่งตะวันตกที่มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาค้นหาความหมายของสิ่งต่างๆ ผู้วิจัยจึงประยุกต์หลักการทางพระพุทธศาสนา เรื่องขันธ์ 5 ที่มุ่งเน้นถึงการเกิดสภาวะความรู้สึกภายในจิตของมนุษย์ สามารถวิเคราะห์ตีความการรับรู้เชิงสัญศาสตร์ได้ลึกซึ้งจนนำมาสร้างสรรค์เครื่องประดับส่วนบุคคลที่ทำงานกับจิตใจของผู้วิจัยในเชิงคลายความวิตกกังวล และเสริมสร้างกำลังใจ The purpose of this research is to understand how personal healing jewelry, that reflects the cultural wisdom of the Ka Ka Yor people regarding their traditional roofing material, can be an antidote to stress and strengthen the researcher through ritual activities of his homeland. The scope of the research was to study common physical characteristics of Dipterocarpus tuberculatus in Thailand, the wisdom and life activities that related to Dipterocarpaceae leaves and the material properties, techniques and visual elements of Dipterocarpus tuberculatus leaves. In the cultural study of "Collecting and creating a Ka Ka Yor roof" in the researcher’s childhood, the collection of leaves in the forest with the researcher’s mother each morning and storing leaves and creating a traditional Ka Ka Yor roof, the author found that the memory of the activity became a kind of personal ritual which could help to improve his human soul. The study covers research methodologies for jewelry design related with semiotics theory together with the Five Aggregates in the Buddhist Dhamma, modern ritual style, examples of artists, materials and building processes, brief analysis of materials and techniques used in sketching the design, three-dimensional models and a masterpiece of work. The form of jewelry design was inspired by Dipterocarpaceae seeds and the pins were cast in brass. The leaves of ornaments were created using Ka Ka Yor roofing methods and worn on the clothing in three ritualistic positions: on the right arm, left wrist and pants pockets, that embody references to the character of the Ka Ka Yor thatched roof. In this study, the researcher found that personal healing jewelry from Dipterocarpus tuberculatus leaves was the switch or the key for the individual to recalling peaceful childhood experiences related to the cultural significance of the leaves. The process of sense and feelings did not correspond with the main principles of semiotics theory in the search for the meaning of things. Therefore, the researcher applied Buddhist Dhamma, specifically the Five Aggregates that focus on the mental state of a person's inner feelings, in the analysis and interpretation of the personal healing jewelry.
