Furniture design from the flexible quality of rubber

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the flexible qualification of the rubber and the forming techniques for the living room furniture. The target is to bring output product of two ideas to evaluate which is A.The idea of semi prefabrication that the user can interact with the product without difficult process. B.The idea of prefabrication that the user has a chance to choose the details of form and aesthetic of the product.

The experiment process of searching the possibility of production begin with mixing some interesting material with the rubber. Then, forming the material by technique of folded,reverse, insert, roll and lock . After that, bring the result to analyze and design the living room furniture in two different ideas. The semi prefabrication idea consist of A1 insert and flip over, A2 insert.A3 two layer insert. The prefabrication idea consist of B1 roll and carve, B2 roll and B3 insert and lock. Last, bring the product to ask the expert opinion and develop the prototype product to meet the satisfaction of the target group.

The conclusion from the target group show that the target group was interested in living room furniture idea A ,the average of satisfaction of idea A is 3.38 (S.D.=1.052).This idea is forming the rubber by inserting and flip over technique. While the idea B use the forming technique of rolling and flip over got the higher average of 3.70(S.D.=0.928).From this idea, the user has the choice in changing the color and surface look of the furniture.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาลักษณะเฉพาะ และทดลองเทคนิคการขึ้นรูปจากคุณสมบัติความยืดหยุ่นของยางพาราในรูปแบบต่างๆ จากนั้นนำวัสดุจากการทดลองมาออกแบบเฟอร์นิเจอร์ประเภทที่นั่งรับแขก และนำผลการออกแบบทั้งสองแนวคิดไปประเมินความพึงพอใจกับกลุ่มเป้าหมาย โดยเปรียบเทียบในการออกแบบว่ากลุ่มเป้าหมายมีความพึงพอใจกับเฟอร์นิเจอร์ประเภทที่นั่งรับแขกระหว่างแนวคิด A “กึ่งสำเร็จรูป”ที่ผู้ใช้งานมีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับเฟอร์นิเจอร์ด้วยกระบวนการที่ไม่ยุ่งยาก กับแนวคิด B “สำเร็จรูป” ที่ผู้บริโภคมีโอกาสในการกำหนดรูปแบบของเฟอร์นิเจอร์ โดยรูปแบบที่มีรายละเอียดและความสวยงาม

จากการทดลองผสมวัสดุที่น่าสนใจกับยางพาราและนำวัสดุฟองยางพารามาทดลองการขึ้นรูปทรงต่าง ๆจากเทคนิคการ พับ พลิก สอด ม้วน ขัด เพื่อหาพื้นผิวและรูปทรงที่มีความเป็นไปได้ทางการผลิตและเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะของยางพารา โดยผู้วิจัยได้นำวัสดุจากการทดลองเบื้องต้นมาวิเคราะห์เพื่อนำมาออกแบบเฟอร์นิเจอร์ประเภทที่นั่งรับแขกที่ดึงเอาคุณสมบัติด้านความยืดหยุ่นของยางพาราโดยแบ่งเป็นสองแนวทาง คือ “กึ่งสำเร็จรูป” กับ “สำเร็จรูป” แนวคิดละ 3 ชิ้น ประกอบด้วย รูปแบบ A1“การสอดและพลิก” รูปแบบ A2 “สอด” รูปแบบ A3 “การสอด 2 แผ่น” รูปแบบ B1“การม้วนและฉลุ” รูปแบบ B2“การม้วน” และรูปแบบ B3 “การสอดและขัด” เพื่อนำไปสอบถามความเป็นไปได้ตลอดถึงความเหมาะสมกับผู้เชียวชาญด้านต่าง ๆ และนำผลงานมาพัฒนาเพื่อนำมาสอบถามความพึงพอใจของกลุ่มเป้าหมายต่อไป

โดยผลสรุปจากแบบสอบถามกลุ่มเป้าหมายพบว่า กลุ่มเป้าหมายมีความพึงพอใจต่อเฟอร์นิเจอร์ประเภทที่นั่งรับแขกจากแนวคิด A “กึ่งสำเร็จรูป” โดยใช้เทคนิคการสอดและพลิก ในระดับปานกลาง โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ย 3.38 (S.D.=1.052) ซึ่งเป็นการนำฟองยางพาราขึ้นรูปด้วยการพลิกกับสอดให้ผู้ใช้งานมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ และแนวคิด B “สำเร็จรูป” โดยใช้เทคนิคการม้วน ในระดับมาก มีค่าเฉลี่ย 3.70 (S.D.=0.928) โดยแนวคิดนี้เป็นการนำฟองยางพาราขึ้นรูปด้วยการม้วนกับพลิก ที่ผู้ใช้งานมีทางเลือกในการปรับเปลี่ยนโทนสี และพื้นผิวได้
