Development of an educational infographic ‘Phra Aphai Mani’ to promote reading comprehension skills for Matthayom 3 students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) Develop an infographic media “Phra Aphai Mani” for Matthayom 3 students to promote the reading ability for understanding. 2) To compare reading ability for understanding of Matthayom 3 students before and after implementation of the infographic media. 3) Satisfaction analysis of the infographic media “Phra Apahi Mani” of Matthayom 3 students. The research group involved 1 class of Debsirin Nonthaburi School Matthayom 3 students, studying in their first semester of 2018, with the total number of 50 people. Materials used to conduct this research comprises of 1) Formatted interview questionnaires. 2) Learning management plan for the infographic media “Phra Aphai Mani”. “Phra Aphai Mani” infographic media. 4) Evaluation form of infographic media “Phra Aphai Mani” to promote reading ability. 5). Satisfaction evaluation form of infographic media “Phra Aphai Mani”

The result shows that;

1. The performance on infographics media Phra Aphai Mani for Matthayom 3students to promote reading ability has an average result of 81.90/81.33 when compared to 80/80.

2. The results from the comparison of Mathayom 3 student’s reading ability shows shows that before their studies, the average score was 2.9 with a standard deviation of 0.74 and the average score after their studies were 12.20 with a standard deviation of 2.69. The comparison of the critical thinking skills test results of Matthayom 3 students before and after their studies indicates that there were statistically significant differences at the 0.01 showing that it is higher after the infographics were used.

3. Satisfaction analysis of Matthayom 3 students to infographic media “Phra Aphai Mani” shows that the students are very satisfied with the use of infographic media “Phra-Ahphai Mani” with an average score of 4.76 and standard deviation of 0.29.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาสื่ออินโฟกราฟิก เรื่องพระอภัยมณี สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 เพื่อส่งเสริมความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจ 2) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจ ก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 3) เพื่อศึกษาความพึงพอใจที่มีต่อสื่ออินโฟกราฟิก เรื่องพระอภัยมณี ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักเรียนในระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 โรงเรียนเทพศิรินทร์ นนทบุรี ที่กำลังศึกษาในภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2561 จำนวน 1 ห้องเรียน ทั้งหมด 50 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1) แบบสัมภาษณ์แบบมีโครงสร้าง 2) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้สื่ออินโฟกราฟิก เรื่องพระอภัยมณี 3) สื่ออินโฟกราฟิก เรื่องพระอภัยมณี 4) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจ เรื่องพระอภัยมณี 5) แบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจที่มีต่อสื่ออินโฟกราฟิกเรื่องพระอภัยมณี

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ประสิทธิภาพของสื่ออินโฟกราฟิก เรื่องพระอภัยมณี สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 เพื่อส่งเสริมความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจ มีค่าเฉลี่ยตามเกณฑ์เท่ากับ 81.90/81.33 เมื่อเทียบกับเกณฑ์ 80/80

2. ผลการเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ที่ผ่านการทำแบบทดสอบ ได้คะแนนการทดสอบก่อนเรียน มีคะแนนค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 2.9 ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 0.74 และคะแนนการทดสอบหลังเรียน มีคะแนนค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 12.20 ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 2.69 เมื่อทดสอบความแตกต่างของผลการเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 ก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน พบว่า มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 โดยหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน

3. ผลการศึกษาความพึงพอใจที่มีต่อสื่ออินโฟกราฟิก เรื่องพระอภัยมณี ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 พบว่า นักเรียนมีความพึงพอใจต่อการเรียนด้วยสื่ออินโฟกราฟิก เรื่องพระอภัยมณี อยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด มีคะแนนค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.76 และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 0.29
