The Study of Learning Achievement in Economics Strand and Reasoning thinking ability of Matthayom 5 Students on Problem-based Learning with Think-Pair-Share Technique

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to compare learning achievement in Economics Strand on pricing and wages in economic system of Matthayom 5 students before and after implementing Problem-based Learning with Think-Pair-Share technique; 2) to compare Reasoning thinking ability of Matthayom 5 students before and after implementing Problem-based Learning with Think-Pair-Share technique; and 3) to survey opinions of Matthayom 5 students towards Problem-based Learning with Think-Pair-Share technique. The sample consisted of 33 students in Matthayom 5/1 in semester 2, academic year 2018 at Dipangkornwittayapat (Taweewattana) Under the Royal Patronage School, Bangkok. The research instruments were as follow: 1) 1 Social Studies lesson plan on Problem-based Learning with Think-Pair-Share technique; 2) learning achievement test; 3) Reasoning thinking ability test; and 4) opinions of Matthayom 5/1 students towards Problem-based Learning with Think-Pair-Share technique questionnaire. The data were statistical analysis by mean (X̅), standard deviation (S.D.), and T-test dependent.

Research findings were as follow:

1. Learning achievement in Economics Strand of Matthayom 5 students after implementing Problem-based Learning with Think-Pair-Share technique was significantly higher than its baseline at the .05 level.

2. Reasoning thinking ability of Matthayom 5 students after implementing Problem-based Learning with Think-Pair-Share technique was significantly higher than its baseline at the .05 level.

3. Opinions of Matthayom 5 students towards Problem-based Learning with Think-Pair-Share technique were at very good level in overall.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนสาระเศรษฐศาสตร์ เรื่อง การกำหนดราคาและค่าจ้างในระบบเศรษฐกิจของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ก่อนและหลังได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค Think-Pair-Share 2) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการคิดอย่างมีเหตุผลของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ก่อนและหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค Think-Pair-Share และ 3) ศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีต่อ การจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค Think-Pair-Share กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5/1 จำนวน 33 คน ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2561 โรงเรียนทีปังกรวิทยาพัฒน์ (ทวีวัฒนา) ในพระราชูปถัมภ์ฯ กรุงเทพมหานคร เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้สังคมศึกษาโดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค Think-Pair-Share จำนวน 1 หน่วยการเรียนรู้ 2) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน 3) แบบประเมินความสามารถในการคิดอย่างมีเหตุผล 4) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค Think-Pair-Share วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย (X̅), ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) และทดสอบค่าทีแบบ ไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน

ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้

1. ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนสาระเศรษฐศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค Think-Pair-Share หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2. ความสามารถในการคิดอย่างมีเหตุผลของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค Think-Pair-Share หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

3. ความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานร่วมกับเทคนิค Think-Pair-Share โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับเห็นด้วยมาก
