THE DEVELOPMENT OF CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY ON GOOD DEMOCRATIC CITIZENSHIP OF MATTAYOM FIVE STUDENT USING PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: 1) study the development of critical thinking ability on democratic citizenship of Mathayomsuksa Five students by using problem - based learning management: 2) compare learning outcomes on citizenship in a democratic way of Mathayomsuksa Five students before and after using problem- based learning management and 3) study the opinions of mathayomsuksa Five students on problem - based learning management. The sample in this study was 43 Mathayomsuksa 5/12 students of Joseph Upatham School (Girls Section), Semester 1, academic year 2019. The instruments used for gathering data were: 1) lesson plans 2) a critical thinking ability test 3) a learning outcome test on democratic citizenship and 4) a questionnaire for collecting students' opinions toward problem-based learning management. The statistics employed to analyze the data were dependent sample t-test, the mean (M), standard deviation (S.D.) and conten analysis.

The results of this study were:

1. The critical thinking ability on democratic citizenship of Mathayomsuksa Five students by using problem-based learning management increased continuously.

2. The learning outcome on democratic citizenship of Mathayomsuksa Five students by after using problem-based learning management were significantly higher than those before using the learning management at the.05 level.

3. The overall opinions of Mathayomsuksa Five students towards problem- based learning management was at the highest level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาพัฒนาการความสามารถในการคิดอย่างมีวิจารณญาณ เรื่อง ความเป็นพลเมืองตามวิถีประชาธิปไตย ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 หลังการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง ความเป็นพลเมืองตามวิถีประชาธิปไตย ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ก่อน และหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน 3) เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5/12 ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2562 โรงเรียนยอแซฟอุปถัมภ์ (แผนกสามัญหญิง) จำนวน 43 คน

เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ 2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการคิดอย่างมีวิจารณญาณ 3) แบบทดสอบวัดผลการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง ความเป็นพลเมืองตามวิถีประชาธิปไตย และ 4) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย (M) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) การทดสอบค่า t แบบไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน (t-test for dependent) และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content Analysis)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ความสามารถในการคิดอย่างมีวิจารณญาณ เรื่อง ความเป็นพลเมืองตามวิถีประชาธิปไตย ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่จัดการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานหลังเรียนมีพัฒนาการสูงขึ้น

2. ผลการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง ความเป็นพลเมืองตามวิถีประชาธิปไตย ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่จัดการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐานหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

3. ความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบใช้ปัญหาเป็นฐาน โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด
