THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENGLISH READING COMPREHENTION SKILLS BY USING COLLABORATIVE STRATEGIC READING (CSR) THROUGH LOCALINFORMATION OF KANCHANABURI FOR PRATHOMSUKSA SIXTH STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: 1) compare students’ English reading comprehension skills before and after using the collaborative strategic reading (CSR) through local information of Kanchanaburi for Prathomsuksa Sixth students 2) study the development of students’abilities in using collaborative strategic reading while studying using the collaborative strategic reading (CSR) through local information of Kanchanaburi for Prathomsuksa Sixth students 3)study group working behaviors of students while studying using the collaborative strategic reading (CSR) through local information of Kanchanaburi for Prathomsuksa Sixth students to improve English reading comprehension skills. The samples were 13 students studied in Prathomsuksa Sixth from Wat Nongmaikan School,Amphur Tamaka Kanchanaburi, in second semester of academic year 2019. Research instruments consisted of 1) lesson plan using the collaborative strategic reading (CSR) through local information of Kanchanaburi 2) reading proficiency test 3) assessment form of ability in using collaborative strategic reading and 4) observation form of group working behaviors. The data were analyzed by the mean,standard deviation and statistical means of t-test.

The results were as follows:

1) English reading comprehension skills after using the collaborative strategic reading (CSR) through local information of Kanchanaburi were significantly higher than before the instruction at .05 level.

2) Students’abilities in using collaborative strategic reading while studying using the collaborative strategic reading (CSR) through local information of Kanchanaburi for Prathomsuksa Sixth students were higher development.

3) Group working behaviors of students while studying using the collaborative strategic reading (CSR) through local information of Kanchanaburi for Prathomsuksa Sixth students were good level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียน ก่อนและหลังเรียนโดยใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือผ่านบทอ่านข้อมูลท้องถิ่นจังหวัดกาญจนบุรี สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 2) เพื่อศึกษาพัฒนาการความสามารถในการใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือของนักเรียน ระหว่างเรียนโดยใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือผ่านบทอ่านข้อมูลท้องถิ่นจังหวัดกาญจนบุรี สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการทำงานกลุ่มของนักเรียน ระหว่างเรียนโดยใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือผ่านบทอ่านข้อมูลท้องถิ่นจังหวัดกาญจนบุรี สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนวัดหนองไม้แก่น อำเภอท่ามะกา จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี ในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2562 จำนวน 13 คน ใช้เวลา 14 ชั่วโมง แบบแผนการวิจัย One Group Pretest-Posttest Design เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ 1)แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ที่จัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือผ่านบทอ่านข้อมูลท้องถิ่นจังหวัดกาญจนบุรี 2) แบบทดสอบวัดทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจ 3)แบบประเมินความสามารถในการใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือ 4) แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมการทำงานกลุ่ม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยหาค่าเฉลี่ยค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D) และทดสอบค่าสถิติ t-test แบบ dependent

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ทักษะการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อความเข้าใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โดยใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือผ่านบทอ่านข้อมูลท้องถิ่นจังหวัดกาญจนบุรี หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2. ความสามารถในการใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ในระหว่างเรียนโดยใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือผ่านบทอ่านข้อมูลท้องถิ่นจังหวัดกาญจนบุรี มีพัฒนาการอยู่ในระดับที่สูงขึ้น

3. พฤติกรรมการทำงานกลุ่มของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ในระหว่างเรียนโดยใช้กลวิธีการอ่านแบบร่วมมือผ่านบทอ่านข้อมูลท้องถิ่นจังหวัดกาญจนบุรี อยู่ในระดับดี
