THE DEVELOPMENT OF ANALYTICAL READING ABILITY AND SUMMARY WRITING ABILITY OF MATTHAYOMSUKSA 2 STUDENTS BY ORGANIZING REAP STRATEGY AND GRAPHIC ORGANIZER TECHNIQUE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to compare analytical reading ability of Matthayomsuksa 2 students before and after implementation of the REAP strategy and graphic organizer technique and 2) to compare summary writing ability of Matthayomsuksa 2 students before and after implementation of the REAP strategy and graphic organizer technique. The sample consisted of 33 students from Matthayomsuksa 2/2, Sathapornwittaya School, Banglen, Nakhon Pathom, The Secondary Educational Service Area 9, second semester, academic year 2019, and using simple random sampling technique with a classroom unit. This research was pre - experimental with the one group pretest - posttest design. The research instruments used were: 1) analytical reading ability and summary writing ability lesson plans using the REAP strategy and graphic organizer technique, 2) analytical reading ability test and 3) summary writing ability test and criteria. The data were analyzed by mean , standard deviation and t-test dependent.

The research findings were as follows:

1. The analytical reading ability using the REAP strategy and graphic organizer technique of Matthayomsuksa 2 students in the post-test was higher than pre-test at the .05 level.

2. The summary writing ability using the REAP strategy and graphic organizer technique of Matthayomsuksa 2 students in the post-test was higher than pre-test at the .05 level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ก่อนและหลังการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตามกลวิธี REAP ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิก 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการเขียนสรุปความของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ก่อนและหลังการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตามกลวิธี REAP ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิก กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2/2 โรงเรียนสถาพรวิทยา อำเภอบางเลน จังหวัดนครปฐม สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษาเขต 9 ที่กำลังศึกษาภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2562 จำนวน 33 คน ที่ได้มาจากการสุ่มแบบง่าย (Simple Random Sampling) โดยใช้ห้องเรียนเป็นหน่วยสุ่มด้วยวิธีจับสลากแบบแผนการทดลองแบบก่อนทดลอง (Pre Experimental Designs) เป็นแบบกลุ่มเดียวสอบก่อนและสอบหลัง (The One Group Pretest - Posttest Design) เครื่องมือในการวิจัย ประกอบด้วย 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามกลวิธี REAP ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิก 2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการอ่านวิเคราะห์ 3) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการเขียนสรุปความและเกณฑ์การประเมินความสามารถในการเขียนสรุปความ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าทีแบบไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน (t-test Dependent)

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า

1. ความสามารถในการอ่านวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่ได้รับการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตามกลวิธี REAP ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิก หลังการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้สูงกว่าก่อนจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2. ความสามารถในการเขียนสรุปความของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่ได้รับการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตามกลวิธี REAP ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิก หลังการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้สูงกว่าก่อนจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
