Abstract

The creation of the thesis under the name “Imagine from costume” aim to develop the artwork from ancient embroidery technique by presenting in 2-dimensional abstract style. The artwork exquisitely applied ancient embroider technique and portray as Fine Art to show the idea of aesthetic, meaning, and value from Thai classical dance and theatre costume.

I believe that embroidery on the surface of Thai classical dance and theater costume have the potential to show beauty value and symbolic in itself. It shows imagination of identity and personality of each character wisely. Through the technique and symbol are harmoniously combine with art elements and become patterns. This demonstrates the rise of culture, beauty value that not just about the external material or the role of the wearer only.

The embroidery work from “Khon” present the cultural value that dimly disappear. Through the special pattern of the costume, with the exquisitely technique present on the art elements that is simplified, therefore, understandable but there is rich process underneath the artwork.

การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานวิทยานิพนธ์ชุด “จินตภาพจากลวดลายพัสตราภรณ์” มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อพัฒนาต่อยอดผลงานจากเทคนิคกระบวนการเย็บปักถักร้อยแบบโบราณ โดยนำเสนอการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะเชิงนามธรรมแบบสองมิติ นำเอากระบวนการเย็บปักแบบโบราณมาประยุกต์ใช้อย่างละเอียดประณีตบรรจง ผ่านสื่อทางทัศนศิลป์ เพื่อแสดงออกถึงสาระของสุนทรียภาพทางความงาม ความหมายและคุณค่า จากการแต่งกายของตัวโขนละครในนาฎยกรรมไทย

ข้าพเจ้ามีความเชื่อว่างานเย็บปักถักร้อยของลวดลายบนระนาบ จากเครื่องแต่งกายโขนละครชั้นสูงของไทยนั้น มีความสามารถแสดงถึงคุณค่าทางความงามและสัญญะในตัวเอง ที่สามารถจินตนาการถึงอัตลักษณ์ บุคลิกภาพและบทบาทของตัวละครของแต่ละตัว ผ่านเทคนิควิธีการและสัญลักษณ์ มาผสมผสานจนสอดคล้องกับลวดลายที่แสดงออกทางทัศนธาตุ บ่งบอกถึงความเจริญงอกงามทางวัฒนธรรม คุณค่า ความงดงาม ทางจิตใจที่ไม่ใช่เป็นเพียงอาภรณ์ที่เป็นเปลือกภายนอกหรือการกำหนดบทบาทหน้าที่ของผู้สวมใส่เท่านั้น

งานเย็บปักถักร้อยจากตัวโขนละคร แสดงให้เห็นคุณค่าทางวัฒนธรรมที่กำลังจะเลือนหายไป ผ่านพัสตราภรณ์ ลวดลายที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์ ด้วยตัวเทคนิคกระบวนการอันวิจิตรบรรจงและประณีต แสดงออกผ่านทางทัศนธาตุ ที่ถูกลดทอน จนเกิดความหมายเชิงสัญลักษณ์ที่เข้าใจได้ง่าย แต่แฝงด้วยคุณค่าของตัวกระบวนการ วิธีคิดและเนื้อหาที่ทับซ้อนอยู่ในชิ้นผลงาน
