dc.description.abstract	Triangular numbers have been of interest and continuously studied due to their beautiful representations, nice properties, and various links with other mathematical objects. In this thesis, we focus on a generalized notion of triangular numbers, namely, an isosceles triangular number. Some characterizations and identities for isosceles triangular numbers are presented as well as links with other figurate numbers. Results on triangular numbers can be viewed as a special case.	en
