Imagination in my world

Abstract

In this world, makeup is to do makeup based on a popular trend with no rule enforcement. Accordingly, people mostly do their makeup focusing on the beauty in order to impress other people as an idiom says “Fine feathers make fine birds” which means people have to take care of their appearance to appear beautiful; therefore, makeup is so crucial nowadays. Makeup is a technique aiming to highlight facial features such as eyebrows, eyes, nose, cheeks, and lips. Makeup can be used to disguise any flaws, and it also can be used to highlight fine points. Consequently, cosmetics and makeup techniques play a significant role in modern society.

I would like to express happiness with materials, focusing on expressing delight from an attachment with objects; cosmetics by combining creativity and imagination based on existing information and imaginary information. Symbols have a great impact on confidence in beauty arising from personal imagination and impression in created objects, which are conveyed through two-dimensional silkscreen printing.

I was seeking for happiness to reflect aesthetic beauty in a different way by defining or creating a space through a new aspect of imagination using shapes of cosmetics; cosmetic cream products, powders, perfumes, and various kinds of lipsticks. Cosmetic products used in this thesis create a sense of fascination and pleasure, which are the main factors of expression in terms of creating an atmosphere in an area where an idea is based on happiness, enjoyment, and fantasy. Therefore, aspects will be diverse depending on the context through which consideration, observation, and imagination in creating a new environment.

ในโลกนี้การแต่งหน้าโดยทั่วไปมักแต่งหน้าตามความนิยมชมชอบตามยุคสมัยนั้นไม่มีกฎเกณฑ์บังคับ แต่ยึดหลักความสวยงามเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ให้ผู้พบเห็นเกิดความประทับใจดังเห็นจากสำนวนไทยที่ว่า “ไก่งามเพราะขน คนงามเพราะแต่ง” คือคนจะงามจะสวยได้ต้องรู้จักแต่งตัว ฉะนั้นการแต่งหน้าจึงมีความสำคัญ การแต่งหน้าต้องแต่งส่วนต่างๆ ของใบหน้าให้ดูเด่นชัดยิ่งขึ้นเช่น คิ้ว ตา จมูก แก้ม ปาก รวมทั้งวัตถุเสื้อผ้า เครื่องแต่งกาย เป็นต้น หากส่วนใดบกพร่องควรอำพรางส่วนนั้นด้วยวิธีการแต่งหน้า หากส่วนใดดีควรแต่งเน้นส่วนนั้นให้เด่นโดยอาศัยเครื่องสำอาง ดังนั้นเครื่องสำอางและวิธีการแต่งหน้าจึงมีบทบาทสำคัญ

ข้าพเจ้าต้องการแสดงออกถึงความสุขที่มีต่อวัตถุสิ่งของ มุ่งเน้นการถ่ายทอดความสุขที่เกิดจากความผูกพันกับสิ่งของ เครื่องสำอาง โดยการสร้างสรรค์ผสมผสานกับจินตนาการ จากข้อมูลที่มีอยู่จริงและจินตนาการขึ้นมา สัญลักษณ์มีความหมายต่อในทางความรู้สึกของความมั่นใจในความงามที่เกิดจากจินตนาการส่วนตัว และความประทับใจ ความชื่นชอบในวัตถุที่นำมาสร้างสรรค์ ถ่ายทอดผ่านภาพพิมพ์เทคนิคซิลค์สกรีน 2 มิติ

ข้าพเจ้าได้มองหาความสุข เพื่อสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความงามทางสุนทรียศาสตร์ที่แตกต่างจากรูปแบบเดิม การกำหนดหรือการสร้างพื้นที่ผ่านจินตนาการมุมมองใหม่ ใช้รูปทรงของวัตถุ สิ่งของ เครื่องสำอางจำพวกครีม แป้ง น้ำหอม ลิปสติกหลายๆ ชนิด โดยเครื่องสำอางที่นำมาใช้นั้น สร้างความรู้สึกหลงใหล เพลินใจ สิ่งเหล่านี้คือปัจจัยหลักของการแสดงออกมาในลักษณะสร้างบรรยากาศในพื้นที่โดยมีความคิดอยู่บนพื้นฐานของความสุขสนุกสนาน แฟนตาซี ลักษณะจะแตกต่างกันไปตามบริบท ผ่านการมองและสังเกตประกอบกับจินตนาการในการสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมใหม่
