Language on Thai Protestant Christianity T-shirt

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze sources, contents and speech acts of verbal language including types and functions of non-verbal language which appeared on Thai Protestant Christianity t-shirt. The data was collected from 500 Thai Protestant Christianity t-shirts produced by Thai Protestant Christian from 2009 to 2019, containing 583 messages.

The results of verbal language represent that the sources of the messages appearing on Thai Protestant Christianity t-shirt are, sorted in descending order, new creation, Bible and worship songs. The contents are human and human, human, God and human as well as God. The speech acts contain directive, representative, and expressive.

The results of non-verbal language represent that there are 3 types of non-verbal language appearing on Thai Protestant Christianity t-shirt. Those are pictures, colors and letters. The pictures used are symbolic pictures, illustrations and logo. The colors religiously used are the colors of Christmas colors-- red and green. Other colors are used for variety. The letters used are about font containing unmixed font and mixed font, size-- enlarging letters to emphasize meaning of the word in addition concrete poetry are used to illustrate some religiously symbolic pictures. The functions of non-verbal language are self-presentation, replacing verbal messages, repeating verbal messages and emphasizing verbal messages.

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ที่มา เนื้อหา และวัจนกรรมของข้อความที่ปรากฏบนเสื้อของคริสต์ศาสนิกชนไทย นิกายโปรเตสแตนต์ และเพื่อวิเคราะห์อวัจนภาษาที่ปรากฏบนเสื้อของคริสต์ศาสนิกชนไทย นิกายโปรเตสแตนต์โดยเก็บข้อมูลเสื้อทุกประเภทที่ผลิตและจัดจำหน่ายโดยคริสต์ศาสนิกชนไทย นิกายโปรเตสแตนต์ในปี พ.ศ. 2552-2562 จำนวน 500 ตัว ได้ข้อความที่ใช้วิเคราะห์ทั้งหมด 583 ข้อความ

ผลการศึกษาวัจนภาษาพบว่าที่มาของข้อความที่ปรากฏบนเสื้อคริสต์ศาสนิกชนไทย นิกายโปรเตสแตนต์ มาจาก 3 ที่มา เรียงลำดับจากมากไปน้อย ได้แก่ ข้อความที่มาจากการสร้างสรรค์ขึ้นใหม่ ข้อความที่มาจากพระคริสตธรรมคัมภีร์ และข้อความที่มาจากเพลงนมัสการ เนื้อหาของข้อความที่ปรากฏบนเสื้อคริสต์ศาสนิกชนไทย นิกายโปรเตสแตนต์แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ด้าน เรียงลำดับจากมากไปน้อย ได้แก่ เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับมนุษย์และมนุษย์ เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับมนุษย์ เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับพระเจ้าและมนุษย์ และเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับพระเจ้า วัจนกรรมที่ปรากฏบนเสื้อพบวัจนกรรม 3 กลุ่ม เรียงลำดับจากมากไปน้อย ได้แก่ วัจนกรรมกลุ่มชี้นำ วัจนกรรมกลุ่มบอกกล่าว และวัจนกรรมกลุ่มแสดงความรู้สึก

ผลการศึกษาอวัจนภาษาพบประเภทของอวัจนภาษาที่ปรากฏบเสื้อคริสต์ศาสนิกชนไทย นิกายโปรเตสแตนต์ใน 3 ประเภท ได้แก่ ภาพ สี และตัวอักษร การใช้ภาพมี 3 ลักษณะ ได้แก่ 1.ภาพสัญลักษณ์ทางศาสนา 2.ภาพประกอบข้อความ และ3.ภาพตราสัญลักษณ์ การใช้สีมีทั้งการใช้สีเพื่อสื่อความหมายทางศาสนาเช่น สีแดงและเขียวบนเสื้อที่จัดทำขึ้นเพื่อสวมใส่ในเทศกาลคริสต์มาส และการใช้สีเพื่อความหลากหลาย การใช้อักษรพบว่า 1.แบบตัวอักษรมีการใช้แบบตัวอักษรแบบเดียวและการใช้แบบตัวอักษรหลายแบบปนกัน 2.ขนาดของตัวอักษรมีการใช้ตัวอักษรขนาดใหญ่เพื่อเน้นคำสำคัญ และ3.การใช้วรรณรูปมีการจัดเรียงคำให้เป็นรูปที่มีความหมายในศาสนา ส่วนหน้าที่ของอวัจนภาษาพบว่าอวัจนภาษามี 4 หน้าที่ ได้แก่ นำเสนอตัวตน แทนที่วัจนภาษา ซ้ำวัจนภาษา และเน้นวัจนภาษา
