The Development of Analytical Thinking of Grade 6 Students by Using Constructivist and Graphic Organizer

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) To enhance the analytical thinking skill of Grade 6 students after studying with constructivist approach and graphic organizer technique. 2) To compare students’ learning achievement of students before and after studying with constructivist approach and graphic organize and 3) to evaluate students’ satisfaction after studying with constructivist approach and graphic organizer technique. The target group was 20 students of Grade 6 in the first semester of the academic year 2022 from Watsrakatiem School (Sathapontaksinakan). The research instruments were 1) the lesson plans towards the instruction with constructivist approach and graphic organizer technique. 2) analytical thinking skills assessment. 3) an achievement test. and 4) satisfaction survey of students towards studying with constructivist approach and graphic organizer technique. The data were statistically analyzed by mean (μ) and standard deviation (σ).

The results of this research were as follow

1) The overview of analytical thinking skill of Grade 6 after studying with constructivist approach and graphic organizer technique in the first time (μ = 2.58, σ = 0.58) in the second time (μ = 2.72, σ = 0.50) in the third time (μ = 2.77, σ = 0.48) and in the fourth time (μ = 2.82, σ = 0.37) were steadily increasing.

2) The learning achievement of students after studying with constructivist approach and graphic organize technique (μ = 16.75, σ = 2.26) were higher than before (μ = 7.40, σ = 2.99) with a 73.91% increase in development.

3) The student’ satisfaction towards studying with constructivist approach and graphic organizer technique were at the high level (μ = 2.87, σ = 0.07).

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาพัฒนาการความสามารถในการคิดวิเคราะห์ของนักเรียน ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนการสอนตามแนวคิดทฤษฎีคอนสตรัคติวิสต์ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ ผังกราฟิก 2) เปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิดทฤษฎีคอนสตรัคติวิสต์ ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิกก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน และ 3) ศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษา ปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการสอนตามแนวคิดทฤษฎีคอนสตรัคติวิสต์ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิก กลุ่มเป้าหมายคือ นักเรียน ชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนวัดสระกะเทียม (สถาพรทักษิณาคาร) ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2565 จำนวน 20 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ 2) แบบวัดความสามารถในการคิดวิเคราะห์ 3) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน และ 4) แบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการสอนตามแนวคิดทฤษฎีคอนสตรัคติวิสต์ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิก วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยค่าเฉลี่ย (μ) และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (σ)

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า

1. พัฒนาการความสามารถในการคิดวิเคราะห์ในภาพรวมของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนการสอนตามแนวคิดทฤษฎีคอนสตรัคติวิสต์ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิกมีพัฒนาการความสามารถในการคิดวิเคราะห์ ในครั้งที่ 1 (μ = 2.58, σ = 0.58) ในครั้งที่ 2 (μ = 2.72, σ = 0.50) ใน ครั้งที่ 3 (μ = 2.77, σ = 0.48) และในครั้งที่ 4 (μ = 2.82, σ = 0.37) เพิ่มสูงขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง

2. ผลสัมฤทธิ์ของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิดทฤษฎีคอนสตรัคติวิสต์ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิกหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้ (μ = 16.75, σ = 2.26) สูงกว่าก่อนการจัดการเรียนรู้ (μ = 7.40, σ = 2.99) โดยมีพัฒนาการเพิ่มสูงขึ้นร้อยละ 73.91

3. ความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการสอนตามแนวคิดทฤษฎีคอนสตรัคติวิสต์ร่วมกับเทคนิคการใช้ผังกราฟิกอยู่ในระดับระดับมาก (μ = 2.87, σ= 0.07)
