Development of Digital Literacy Online-Test System for High-School Students : A Case Study of Saithammachan School

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the components and indicators of the digital literacy skills test for high school students, 2) develop an online-test system to measure digital literacy skills for high school students, and 3) study the results of using an online-test system to evaluate high school students’ digital literacy skills. Using a case study research method, the research was divided into 3 phases. Data were collected from a sample of teachers and high school students at Saithammachan School. The research tools were digital literacy papers and studies, questionnaire on needs of online-test system for high school teachers, online-test system to measure digital literacy skills for high school students and a satisfaction survey form toward the online-test system.

The survey results showed that (1) There are 4 components and indicators for digital literacy evaluation of high school students, which were used to create 2 sets of online digital literacy test, namely: Rating scale of 5 levels with 20 items, and a multiple-choice test, 20 items, totaling 40 items. The results were used in making an online-test system to measure digital literacy skills for high school students developed from the TAO Community Edition 3.3 program (2) Satisfaction among users of the online-test system was found to be at the highest level. (total mean 4.54, S.D. = 0.41) and (3) The results of self-assessment on the perception of digital literacy behavior of high school students using a 5-level rating scale were generally at a high level (mean = 4.44). The fourth component (Safety and Ethic) score had the highest level and the highest mean (mean = 4.56). Correspondingly, the results assessed by a multiple-choice test revealed that the overview digital literacy was at a good level. (mean = 3.79) and component 4 had the highest level of digital literacy and the highest mean (mean = 4.63).

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาองค์ประกอบและตัวชี้วัดของแบบวัดทักษะการรู้ดิจิทัลสำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย 2) พัฒนาระบบการสอบออนไลน์เพื่อวัดทักษะการรู้ดิจิทัลสำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย และ 3) ศึกษาผลการใช้งานระบบการสอบออนไลน์เพื่อวัดทักษะการรู้ดิจิทัลสำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย โดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยแบบศึกษาเฉพาะกรณี แบ่งการวิจัยออกเป็น 3 ระยะ เก็บข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างคือครูและนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย โรงเรียนสายธรรมจันทร์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ เอกสารและงานวิจัยเกี่ยวกับการรู้ดิจิทัล แบบสอบถามความต้องการใช้งานระบบการสอบออนไลน์ สำหรับครูระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย ระบบการสอบออนไลน์เพื่อวัดทักษะการรู้ดิจิทัลสำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย และแบบประเมินความพึงพอใจต่อการใช้งานระบบการสอบออนไลน์เพื่อวัดทักษะการรู้ดิจิทัลสำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย

ผลการสำรวจพบว่า (1) องค์ประกอบและตัวชี้วัดการรู้ดิจิทัลสำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายมี 4 องค์ประกอบ โดยนำมาสร้างแบบวัดการรู้ดิจิทัลรูปแบบออนไลน์สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย 2 ชุด ได้แก่ แบบวัดมาตรประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ 20 ข้อ และแบบวัดแบบปรนัย 20 ข้อ รวมทั้งสิ้น 40 ข้อ เพื่อใช้ในระบบการสอบออนไลน์เพื่อวัดทักษะการรู้ดิจิทัลสำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายที่พัฒนาจากโปรแกรม TAO Community Edition 3.3 (2) ความพึงพอใจของผู้ใช้ระบบการสอบออนไลน์เพื่อวัดทักษะการรู้ดิจิทัลสำหรับนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายพบว่าอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (ค่าเฉลี่ยรวม 4.54, S.D. = 0.41) และ (3) ผลการวิเคราะห์การประเมินตนเองต่อการรับรู้พฤติกรรมการรู้ดิจิทัลของนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายด้วยแบบวัดมาตรประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ ภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (ค่าเฉลี่ย = 4.44) โดยองค์ประกอบที่ 4 ความปลอดภัยและจริยธรรม (Safety and Ethic) มีระดับมากที่สุดและมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด (ค่าเฉลี่ย = 4.56) สอดคล้องกับผลการวัดระดับการรู้ดิจิทัลด้วยแบบวัดปรนัยพบว่าภาพรวมมีระดับการรู้ดิจิทัลในระดับดี (ค่าเฉลี่ย = 3.79) และองค์ประกอบที่ 4 มีระดับการรู้ดิจิทัลมากที่สุดและมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด (ค่าเฉลี่ย = 4.63)
