A Management Model of Recreation, Tourism and Sport Activity by Community Participation in the Area of Tha Kanun Sub-District, Thong Phaphum District, Kanchanaburi Province

Abstract

The research was aimed to 1) study the situation of organizing recreational activities in tourism and inter-age sports in Tha Kanun Sub-District, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province; 2) develop an appropriate model of recreation, tourism and sports activities in Tha Kanun Sub-District, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province, and; 3) evaluate the model of recreation, tourism and sport activities with community participation. The research and development methodology was conducted, and 1) 30 key informants were purposively selected from community leaders, and representatives who participated in organizing recreational activities in Tha Kanun Sub-District, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province; 2) 30 participants in the implementation of the model to organize recreational activities in tourism and inter-age sports, selected by simple random sampling, and; 3) 12 local stakeholders included community leaders and representatives, leaders of public and private sectors, and academics, were selected by using purposive selection. The data was collected through in-depth interviews on site, studying documents, questioning, and organizing group discussions. The quantitative data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics to find frequency, percentage, means and standard deviation; and the qualitative data was analyzed by using content analysis.

The findings showed 1) the organization of recreational activities in tourism and in the area was diverse and well known among tourists, namely running and futsal competitions. Tourism activities related to arts and culture, and people’s way of life including recreational activities, games, and ethnic groups’ performances which brought out unique identity of the area as important attraction. There were natural tourist attractions in the area such as mountains, rivers, canals, waterfalls, beautiful scenery, and the Bhudda statue, Luang Po Por Por Ror Kanchanathampitak which attracted tourists to pay homage and ask for blessings. The activity organization was led by important leaders, namely the mayor of Tha Kanun Sub-district municipality, with community leaders, local people, entrepreneurs, academics, tourists, participants of various age groups, as well as leaders of the district such as the chief and vice chieves district, and the governor. 2) The developed management model of recreation, tourism sports activities with the community participation in Tha Kanun Sub-District, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province, was Tha Kanun Model which composed of 6 elements, namely P-H-U-M-E-E. (1) P = participation, (2) H = history. (3) U = Utility. (4) M = management. (5) E = Experience (6) E = Enjoyment. The model was evaluated by 5 experts and the result was at the most appropriate level. 3) The model implementation and the results of the evaluation showed the participants in the activities had high satisfaction in all aspects. The highest average was the benefit of the activity organization, followed by preparation and organization of the activities, and the management style. The finding also showed that the management model of recreation, tourism and sport activities in Tha Kanun Sub-District, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province, was widely well known among tourists and interested people; the activities were organized continuously; the model was appropriate and it had the potential to be used to develop other tourist attractions with a similar context to Tha Kanun sub-district. The activities could be organized by integrating with tourism. Moreover, the group discussion suggested organization of activities involved in tourism, running, cycling, healthy standard and safety standard for tourists.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาสภาพการจัดกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาในพื้นที่ตำบลท่าขนุน อำเภอทองผาภูมิ จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี 2) เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบการจัดกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาโดยชุมชนมีส่วนร่วมในพื้นที่ตำบล ท่าขนุน อำเภอทองผาภูมิ จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี และ 3) เพื่อทดลองใช้และประเมิ ปรับปรุงรูปแบบการจัดกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาโดยชุมชนมีส่วนร่วมในพื้นที่ตำบลท่าขนุน อำเภอทองผาภูมิ จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบการวิจัยและพัฒนา ผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก ได้แก่ 1) ผู้นำชุมชน ตัวแทนประชาชนที่มีส่วนร่วมในการจัดกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา ตำบลท่าขนุน จำนวน 30 คนเลือกตัวอย่างด้วยวิธีเลือกแบบเจาะจง 2) ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมทดลองใช้รูปแบบการจัดกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา จำนวน 30 คน เลือกตัวอย่างด้วยวิธีการสุ่มอย่างง่าย และ 3) ผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องในพื้นที่ ได้แก่ ผู้นำชุมชน ตัวแทนประชาชน ตัวแทนภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน นักวิชาการในพื้นที่ จำนวน 12 คน เลือกตัวอย่างด้วยวิธีการเลือกแบบเจาะจง เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการลงพื้นที่ศึกษา สัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก ศึกษาเอกสาร สอบถาม และจัดสนทนากลุ่ม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณโดยใช้สถิติพรรณนาด้วยการหาค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา

ผลจากการศึกษาพบว่า (1) สภาพการจัดกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาในพื้นที่ตำบล ท่าขนุน อำเภอทองผาภูมิ จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี มีการจัดกิจกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยว และกีฬาที่หลากหลายและเป็นที่รู้จักของนักท่องเที่ยว ทั้งการแข่งขันกีฬา เช่น การแข่งขันวิ่งเพื่อสุขภาพ การแข่งขันฟุตซอล กิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยวที่เกี่ยวข้องกับศิลปวัฒนธรรม วิถีชีวิตของผู้คน รวมถึงกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การละเล่น การแสดงของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ เป็นการนำอัตลักษณ์ที่โดดเด่นของพื้นที่มาเป็นสิ่งดึงดูดใจที่สำคัญ มีแหล่งท่องเที่ยวธรรมชาติ ได้แก่ ภูเขา แม่น้ำ ลำคลอง น้ำตก และวิวทัศน์ที่สวยงาม และพระพุทธรูป ภปร. กาญจนธรรมพิทักษ์ ที่นักท่องเที่ยวนิยมเดินทางมาสักการะเพื่อขอพร ในการจัดกิจกรรมมีผู้นำในพื้นที่คือ นายกเทศมนตรีตำบลท่าขนุน และผู้นำในชุมชนเป็นแกนนำสำคัญ โดยมี ประชาชน ผู้ประกอบการในพื้นที่ นักวิชาการ นักท่องเที่ยว ผู้เข่าร่วมการแข่งขันหลายช่วงวัย รวมถึงผู้นำในอำเภอและจังหวัด ได้แก่ นายอำเภอ ปลัดอำเภอ และผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดมาเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรมการแข่งขันกีฬา นันทนาการ และการท่องเที่ยว (2) ผลการพัฒนารูปแบบการจัดกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาโดยชุมชนมีส่วนร่วมในพื้นที่ตำบลท่าขนุน อำเภอทองผาภูมิ จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี ได้รูปแบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นคือ Tha Kanun Model (ท่าขนุนโมเดล) มีองค์ประกอบ 6 ด้านคือ P-H-U-M-E-E ได้แก่ 1) P: Participation (การมีส่วนร่วม) 2) H: History (ประวัติศาสตร์ 3) U: Utility (ประโยชน์) M: Management (การจัดการ) E: Experiences (ประสบการณ์) และ E: Enjoyment (ความสนุกสนาน) โดยผลการประเมินความเหมาะสมของรูปโดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจำนวน 5 ท่าน พบว่า มีความเหมาะสมในระดับมากที่สุด (3) ผลการทดลองใช้และประเมิน ปรับปรุงรูปแบบการจัดกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาโดยชุมชนมีส่วนร่วมในพื้นที่ตำบลท่าขนุน อำเภอทองผาภูมิ จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี พบว่า ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมมีความพึงพอใจอยู่ในระดับมากทุกด้าน โดยด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือประโยชน์ของการจัดกิจกรรม รองลงมาคือ การเตรียมการและการจัดกิจกรรม และด้านรูปแบบการจัดการ ตามลำดับ ผลจากการศึกษายังพบว่า การจัดกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาในพื้นที่ตำบลท่าขนุนในปัจจุบันเป็นที่รู้จักของนักท่องเที่ยวและผู้สนใจอย่างกว้างขวาง ในพื้นที่มีการจัดกิจกรรมอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยรูปแบบการกิจกรรมนันทนาการ การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาโดยชุมชนมีส่วนร่วม ตำบลท่าขนุนมีความเหมาะสม และมีความเป็นไปได้ที่จะนำไปใช้พัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่มีบริบทใกล้เคียงกับตำบลท่าขนุน สามารถที่จะจัดกิจกรรมจากการบูรณาการเรื่องการท่องเที่ยว กีฬา และนันทนาการได้ นอกจากนั้น ผู้เข้าร่วมสนทนากลุ่มยังเสนอความเห็นว่า ควรจัดกิจกรรมในลักษณะนี้ในพื้นที่อย่างต่อเนื่อง ควรเพิ่มกิจกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการท่องเที่ยวเชิงนิเวศ การวิ่ง กิจกรรมปั่นจักยาน และควรมีการดูแลเรื่องมาตรฐานด้านสุขอนามัย และมาตรฐานด้านความปลอดภัยของนักท่องเที่ยว
