Imagery From Area of Memories

Abstract

This art thesis, “Imagery From Area of Memories” started of from the creation of a space in an ideal world and the artist’s imaginary friend, to overcome sorrow that is caused by living in the society. The purpose of this creation is to ‘portray the mechanism of self mental defense, a space that heals and connects to her memories'. To support her ideas the artist has studied further about the theory relating to the creation of imaginary friends, writings about imaginary friend, fantasy movies, art exhibitions and artists who create artworks about daily life both in Thailand and Japan. Childhood memories, imagination and dreams has become a part of the creation of these artworks. The results of all the studies and processes became the installation art: “Journey of me and you". Completed in 2024, the size of the installation is adjusted according to space, with a mixed media technique consisting of : painting and photography arranged in a manner that replicates the ideal world within the artist’s mind. This space is related to her childhood, which serves as a healing method and is a direction for problem solving, leading to the development of better artworks in the future.

ผลงานวิทยานิพนธ์ “จินตภาพจากพื้นที่ความทรงจำ” มีที่มาจากการสร้างพื้นที่ในโลกอุดมคติ และ เพื่อนในจินตนาการของตนเอง เพื่อเผชิญความทุกข์ที่เกิดขึ้นจากการใช้ชีวิตในสังคม วัตถุประสงค์การสร้างสรรค์ คือ “นำเสนอกลไกป้องกันตนเองทางจิต โดยการสร้างพื้นที่ซึ่งสามารถเยียวยาหรือเชื่อมโยงความทรงจำกับข้าพเจ้าได้” ซึ่งได้ศึกษาข้อมูลทฤษฎีการเกิดเพื่อนในจินตนาการ บทความที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเพื่อนในจินตนาการ ผลงานภาพยนตร์แฟนตาซี การจัดนิทรรศการเเละศิลปินที่สร้างสรรค์ผลงานด้วยการเขียนและศิลปะการจัดวาง ร่วมกับประสบการณ์จากความทรงจำวัยเด็ก ชีวิตประจำวันในประเทศไทย ประเทศญี่ปุ่นที่ผนวกจินตนาการ และความฝันของข้าพเจ้า ประกอบขึ้นเป็นผลงานชุด “Journey of Me And You” นำเสนอผ่านรูปแบบศิลปะการจัดวาง (Installation Art) ขนาดปรับเปลี่ยนตามพื้นที่ ผลงานมีการผสมผสานระหว่างภาษาเขียน ภาษาภาพ และการจัดวางลักษณะคล้ายพื้นที่โลกอุดมคติภายในจิตใจของข้าพเจ้า ซึ่งผลงานดังกล่าวสามารถเชื่อมโยงความทรงจำวัยเด็ก และเยียวยาข้าพเจ้าได้ นำไปสู่การเข้าใจจิตใจของตนเองสามารถเผชิญความทุกข์จากการใช้ชีวิตประจำวันในสังคมไปพร้อมกับการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานได้
