Guidelines Policy of Sports Parks Management in Fuzhou

Abstract

The research was aimed to 1) to study the current situation of sports park in Fuzhou, 2) to propose the guidelines policy of sports parks management in Fuzhou,and 3) to validate the feasibility of the guidelines policy of sports parks management in Fuzhou.This research used a research and development process with mixed research methods.The sample consisted of 14 managers, 97 employees, 379 child consumers and 386 adult consumers from seven large sports parks in Fuzhou City. Data collected using questionnaires, interview outlines and focus group discussions to develop a guidelines policy of sports parks management in Fuzhou. Quantitative data were analysed by means and standard deviations.

The results of the study show that (1) sports park management in Fuzhou City has strengths such as sufficient venues, advanced sports equipment, quality work teams and safety measures, and development opportunities such as government support, increased public health awareness and demand for sports tourism. However, the sports park management also has weaknesses such as inadequate services, irrational equipment layout and inadequate operational programmes, and development threats such as inadequate promotion and publicity, too single investment channel and remote location.(2) Based on the results of SWOT analysis of sports park management in Fuzhou City. Formulate a guidelines policy of sports parks management in Fuzhou City, which is divided into five dimensions: service management, sports facility management, personnel management, safety management and operation management. Through the connoisseurship, it is agreed that the guidelines policy of sports parks management in Fuzhou City covers a wide range of content, which is suitable and feasible, and can be used as a theoretical reference for improving the management level of sports parks in Fuzhou City. (3) The evaluation results show that middle managers and consumers believe that the guidelines policy of sports parks management in Fuzhou is considered suitable and feasible, and has made a positive contribution to the improvement of the management level of sports parks in Fuzhou City, the improvement of service quality and consumer satisfaction, and the theoretical basis for the development of sports park management in Fuzhou City.
