Abstract: The EPC general contracting model, as an advanced general contracting model in the international engineering field, entered China in the 1980s and has been widely applied after years of development. With the rapid development of the construction industry, the market size of the EPC general contracting model is rapidly expanding, and competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Project management, as a direct factor affecting the economic benefits of general contracting enterprises, has become increasingly critical.This article analyzes the formation mechanism of the EPC project collaborative management system for the renovation of old communities in the urban area of Kunming City from the perspective of complex systems, combined with explanatory structural models. The organization, information, process, goals, and system are identified as subsystems. Based on this, an EPC project management system collaborative evaluation index system and mathematical model are established, and suggestions are finally proposed.
