The study of mathematical problem-solving ability on surface area and volume of ninth-grade students through flipped classroom learning management.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to compare the Mathematical problem-solving ability on surface area and volume of ninth-grade students before and after flipped classroom learning management approach, and to compare Mathematical achievement against the criterion of 70 percent.

The subject of this study was 32 ninth-grade students in the first semester of the 2023 academic year at Banmahachai Municipality School, Samut Sakhon. They were selected randomly using cluster random sampling. The experiment lasted for 12 fifty minute periods. The one–group pretest posttest design was used for the study. The researcher instruments used for gathering data were (1) lesson plans on surface area and volume through flipped classroom learning management, (2) the mathematical problem-solving ability test and (3) the mathematical achievement test.

The results of the research were as follows: 1) the Mathematical problem-solving ability on surface area and volume of ninth-grade students after flipped classroom learning management was higher than before the instruction at .05 level of significance, and 2) the Mathematical achievement on surface area and volume of ninth-grade students after flipped classroom learning management was statistically higher than the 70 percent criterion at the .05 level of significance.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ เรื่อง พื้นที่ผิวและปริมาตร โดยใช้การจัดการเรียนรู้แบบห้องเรียนกลับด้านก่อนเรียนกับหลังเรียน และเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ เรื่อง พื้นที่ผิวและปริมาตร ของนักเรียนที่เรียนโดยใช้การจัดการเรียนรู้แบบห้องเรียนกลับด้านกับเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 ซึ่งกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นมัยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 โรงเรียนเทศบาลบ้านมหาชัย (อนุกูลราษฎร์) อำเภอเมืองสมุทรสาคร จังหวัดสมุทรสาคร สังกัดเทศบาลนครสมุทรสาคร ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2566 จำนวน 1 ห้องเรียน จำนวน 32 คน ที่ได้มาจากการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (cluster random sampling) จากจำนวนห้องเรียนทั้งหมด 7 ห้องเรียน ซึ่งการจัดห้องเรียนแต่ละห้องเป็นแบบคละความสามารถ ระยะเวลาทดลองทั้งหมด 12 คาบ คาบละ 50 นาที โดยใช้แบบแผนการทดลองแบบกลุ่มตัวอย่างเดียว ที่ทำการวัดผลก่อนเรียนและหลังเรียน (one–group pretest posttest design) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ (1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ เรื่อง พื้นที่ผิวและปริมาตร โดยใช้การจัดการเรียนรู้แบบห้องเรียนกลับด้าน (2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ เรื่อง พื้นที่ผิวและปริมาตร และ (3) แบบทดสอบวัดผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน เรื่อง พื้นที่ผิวและปริมาตร ผลการวิจัยพบว่าความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ของนักเรียนที่เรียนโดยใช้การจัดการเรียนรู้แบบห้องเรียนกลับด้านหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ซึ่งก่อนเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 11.78 คะแนน (S.D. เท่ากับ 13.40) และหลังเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ย 15.56 คะแนน (S.D. เท่ากับ 5.22) และพบว่าผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนคณิตศาสตร์ เรื่อง พื้นที่ผิวและปริมาตร ของนักเรียนที่เรียนโดยใช้การจัดการเรียนรู้แบบห้องเรียนกลับด้านสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 70 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ซึ่งคะแนนเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 15.34 คะแนน (S.D. เท่ากับ 6.94) คิดเป็นร้อยละ 76.70 ของคะแนนเต็ม
