Abstract: With the rapid development of the consumer era, immersive murder mystery games have quickly gained popularity among young people in urban areas, becoming a highly favored form of entertainment. Based on traditional murder mystery games, immersive versions combine real space layouts and situational designs, focusing on providing players with an immersive experience that allows them to feel as though they are part of the story. Players assume various roles in the game, which could be "murderers" or "detectives," exploring different lives and storylines, and enjoying the fun of deduction and social interaction. However, the current market still primarily focuses on text-based narratives, neglecting the deep creation of space and atmosphere, which leads to a lack of immersion for players and limits the game’s long-term appeal and development. Given the increasing demand for entertainment consumption, this paper focuses on the immersive experience of players and the space design in murder mystery games, incorporating field theory to optimize the gaming experience, especially in innovative physical space layouts and functional design. Specifically, this paper explores how to use field theory to reveal the symbolic meaning of physical spaces, the dynamics of social interactions, and resource distribution mechanisms. Through space design, it aims to enhance the interaction between people and the environment, thereby improving players' participation and immersion. Using literature review, case analysis, and semi-structured interviews, this study systematically researches murder mystery games and their space designs, providing data support and theoretical basis for related theories and practices. This research is based on the perception of players in murder mystery games and derives the field-based system of murder mystery games and its space optimization strategies. Based on this theoretical framework, the study develops game texts and completes the field translation of the murder mystery game script. Through this innovative research, it not only effectively expands the theoretical content of immersive space design for murder mystery games but also provides valuable references for future optimization research and enhances players' emotional resonance and cultural experiences.
