พื้นที่ที่เป็นกันเอง : การก่อรูปของความเป็นกันเองบนพื้นที่สาธารณะ

Abstract

มนุษย์ต้องการอยู่ร่วมกันเป็นสังคม มีการสื่อสารและพึ่งพาอาศัยกัน แต่ในลักษณะความสัมพันธ์แบบพึ่งพานั้นสัญชาตญาณมนุษย์จำเป็นต้องมีระยะห่างระหว่างกันเพื่อรักษาความเป็นส่วนตัว โดยที่ระยะห่างระหว่างกันจะมากหรือน้อยขึ้นอยู่กับความสนิทสนมหรือเรียกอีกอย่างว่า ความเป็นกันเอง ซึ่งจะเกิดขึ้นกับบุคคลที่คุ้นเคยและผูกพัน ในทางสถาปัตยกรรมเช่นกัน ความเป็นกันเองเกิดขึ้นบนพื้นที่ที่เรารู้จัก คุ้นเคย และเข้าใจพื้นที่นั้นเป็นอย่างดี เช่น พื้นที่ส่วนตัว ห้องนอน ห้องนั่งเล่น พื้นที่ภายในบ้าน ฯลฯ แต่เมื่อออกสู่ภายนอก ถนน ทางสาธารณะ ตลาด โรงเรียน หรือจัตุรัสกลางเมือง ระดับความรู้สึกเป็นกันเองต่อพื้นที่นั้นกลับลดน้อยลงเนื่องจากเป็นพื้นที่สาธารณะ ซึ่งนอกจากสถาปัตยกรรมแล้วยังประกอบไปด้วยผู้คนหลากหลายที่เข้ามาใช้งาน มีการครอบครอง แสดงความเป็นเจ้าของพื้นที่ เกิดลำดับทางชนชั้น และเกิดความรู้สึกไม่เท่าเทียมกัน ในพื้นที่สาธารณะบางแห่งแม้จะเป็นสนามโล่งแต่องค์กระกอบในพื้นที่เหล่านั้นเช่น เส้น สี ขอบเขต ระดับความสูง หรือมีผู้คนใช้งานอยู่ กลับสร้างความรู้สึกกดดัน ทำให้รู้สึกว่าพื้นที่นั้นไม่เหมาะสม ไม่น่าใช้งาน หรือเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีเจ้าของ ความรู้สึกต่อกายภาพของพื้นที่และความรู้สึกต่อสังคมเหล่านี้ทำให้ความเป็นกันเองบนพื้นที่สาธารณะนั้นจางหายไป ซึ่งในความเป็นจริงแล้วพื้นที่สาธารณะควรจะเป็นพื้นที่ที่สร้างความรู้สึกเป็นกันเองให้กับทุกๆคน ให้ความรู้สึกคุ้นเคยและผ่อนคลายแก่ผู้มาใช้สอย มีสิทธิในการเข้าถึงและครอบครองร่วมกัน จึงเริ่มศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ปัจจัยทางสถาปัตยกรรมที่ส่งผลต่อความเป็นกันเอง คือ ขนาด สัดส่วน รูปทรง ความน่าใช้งาน การเข้าถึง และบรรยากาศของที่ว่าง ควบคู่ไปกับการศึกษาปัจจัยทางสังคมจิตวิทยา คือ การลดลำดับชั้นและความเท่าเทียม เพื่อใช้เป็นเครื่องมือในการทดลองหาวิธีการออกแบบพื้นที่สาธารณะรูปแบบใหม่ที่น่าใช้งาน สามารถเข้าถึงและใช้งานอย่างเท่าเทียมกัน สร้างความรู้สึกเป็นกันเองต่อพื้นที่ ซึ่งสามารถก่อให้เกิดความเป็นสาธารณะอย่างแท้จริง People want to live together as a society with communication and dependence. A relationship required distance between each other to maintain privacy. No matter how much or little the distance is depend on intimacy, friendliness. It is usually generated with closely person. As architecture, friendliness on the areas is familiar with understanding of the region as well as a private bedroom, living room, home and so on. Persons feel less convenient when they are in a public space such as street, school, market and town square. The public space is included the architectural space and social space which we shared with other people. The diversity of users could provoke the hierarchy of use. Some public spaces are open fields, but elements in those areas such as line, color, height or extended people can put pressure on users. They may feel like the area was not suitable, not to use or has been occupied by others. Even the available space could make us feel with inconvenient by the social elements. We might experience that the area is inappropriate, unwelcoming or somewhere we are not belong. These negative of physical and emotion are a result of space that declines the quality of welcoming atmosphere. According to the fact that, public space should be a pleasant place where everyone can use freedom. Leading to study and analyze factors that impact on friendly architecture that is the scale, form, proportion, use, accessibility and atmosphere, together with studying the social psychological factors to reduce hierarchy and equality. Taking it to be used as a tool to find the solution of design a new public space where everyone can access and use equally. The space that can connect to the people and being a public space genuinely should be.
