ครัวคุณยาย : เรื่องเล่า ความทรงจำ และประวัติศาสตร์

Abstract

ผู้วิจัยมีบรรพบุรุษที่มีเชื้อสายลาว ไทย จีน และมอญ ผู้วิจัยเข้าเรียนในโรงเรียนคริสต์ เตียน และเติบโตในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ท่ามกลางวัฒนธรรม และประเพณีแบบล้านนาตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์ ผู้วิจัยปฎิบัติพิธีกรรมที่หลากหลาย เช่น เข้าวัดฟังเทศน์ในศาสนาพุทธ และในแบบล้านนา ไหว้เจ้า ตามความเชื่อของคนจีน เข้าโบสถ์เพื่อร้องเพลง และอธิษฐานขอพรต่อพระเยซู เป็นต้น ตลอด ระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมานั้นผู้วิจัยไม่ได้รู้สึกเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวัฒนธรรมใดวัฒนธรรมหนึ่ง ผู้วิจัยจึง ต้องการค้นหาอัตลักษณ์ของตนเองผ่านยายซึ่งเป็นญาติผู้ใหญ่คนเดียวที่ยังคงมีชีวิตอยู่ในปัจจุบัน ผู้วิจัยสร้างสรรค์ผลงานวิดีโออาร์ตโดยใช้วิธีการสัมภาษณ์ยายของผู้วิจัยซึ่งเป็นคนมอญ เรื่องต่างๆ ที่ยายเล่ามักเกิดขึ้นในห้องครัว ยายมักเล่าเรื่องอาหาร เรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นในวัยเด็กของยาย และเรื่อง ราวต่างๆที่อยู่ในความทรงจำของยาย เรื่องเล่าของยายเปรียบเสมือนประวัติศาสตร์ขนาดเล็กที่ยัง มีชีวิตอยู่ในปัจจุบัน และพอทำให้ผู้วิจัยได้เห็นถึงรากเหง้าส่วนหนึ่งของตนเอง นอกจากการ สัมภาษณ์แล้วผู้วิจัยยังได้ศึกษาทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวข้อง ได้แก่ความทรงจำ ประวัติศาสตร์แบบหลังสมัย ใหม่ และผลงานวิดีโออาร์ตที่มัลักษณะเป็นสารคดี ผลลัพท์ของการวิจัยสร้างสรรค์คือผลงานวิดีโอ อาร์ตเชิงสารคดี “ครัวคุณยาย: เรื่องเล่า ความทรงจำ และประวัติศาสตร์” (ความยาว 30 นาที ปีที่ สร้าง 2559) โดยมีเนื้อหาที่แสดงให้เห็นวิธีการตามอัตลักษณ์ของผู้วิจัย ผลงานศิลปนิพนธ์นี้ทำให้ผู้วิจัยเข้าใจถึงที่มา และอัตลักษณ์ของผู้วิจัยที่ได้จากการ ศึกษายายแม้เพียงส่วนหนึ่งก็ตาม ผู้วิจัยเห็นว่าสิ่งที่ผู้วิจัยเป็นอยู่นั้นคือผลผลิตจากความเป็นพหุ วัฒนธรรม และความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคมจากอดีตมาสู่ปัจจุบัน Based on having multi-racial ancestors who were Laotian, Thai, Chinese, and Mon, studying in a Christian school, and being raised in Lanna culture; the northern part of Thailand, Chiang Mai, the researcher has to perform various kinds of ceremonies; for example, going to Buddhist temples for sermons, paying respect to the Chinese Gods, and going to church to chant and pray to Jesus. For over years the researcher has not felt as a part of any cultures so finding the own identity was detected. The researcher started the making process of video art by interviewing the researcher’s grandmother; a haft Thai - Mon person who is the only alive senior relative in the present time. The grandmother has always told stories about her food, her childhood, and anything that is still in her memory in the kitchen. Grandmother’s stories is like a small history which is still alive today and it can show the researcher’s origin. Aside from interviewing, the theories involving with memory and postmodern history were applied to this research and it was presented as a documentary video art. The result of the creative research is a documentary video art “Grandma’s cuisine: Tales, Memories, and History” (30 minutes, 2016). The content shows the researcher’s identity. The thesis makes the researcher understand the origin and identity although the data was only came from researcher’s grandmother who is just a part of backgrounds. The research indicates that the researcher is an offspring of the multicultural society and social change from the past to the present.
