The study on agricultural waste of rice straw to apply for the product design.

Abstract

The research conducted emphasizes prototype creation and development of rice straw products for the purposes of providing alternative options that exemplify local community skill and knowledge. Local community members are given the opportunity to become part of the production process by producing and expanding original market groups. Their objectives include rice straw property research, lounge chair material testing and customer prototype satisfaction reviews.

Prior to being informed of rice straw material restrictions, two local community groups were to produce 3 diverse prototypes. Design professionals will consider three designs and select 1 prototype product to be finalized. After selection, the prototype will be further developed and produced for the review of 50 consumers. Results will be analysed by percentage rates and above group qualitative and experimental research interviews.

The three rice straw lounge chair prototypes were considered, but all 3 design professionals’ selected the third option with the most points. The design direction encapsulated a field weaving style, natural shape and geometry. The implementation of these factors formed a local yet modern design of basketry. As results showed a high rate of 4.89 (S.D.=0.19), the prototype was developed for the review of 50 consumer satisfaction levels. The following was concluded: 1)results showed a good rate of 4.18 (S.D.=0.37), 2)rice straw material has weight restrictions and requires other additional materials (such as a stainless steel framework) for extra for stability. However, framework integration made detachable can be seen as convenient when delivering products and provides a modern embellishment.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นการสร้างและพัฒนารูปแบบผลิตภัณฑ์จากฟางข้าว เพื่อเป็นอีกหนึ่งทางเลือกในการทำผลิตภัณฑ์เกี่ยวกับฟางข้าวที่ยังคงไว้ด้วยทักษะภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น ซึ่งชาวบ้านสามารถเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในกระบวนการผลิตและขยายกลุ่มตลาดจากเดิม โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ ศึกษาคุณสมบัติของฟางข้าว ทักษะภูมิปัญญาทำการทดลอง ทดสอบวัสดุเพื่อนำมาประยุกต์สำหรับการออกแบบเก้าอี้นั่งเล่นเข้ากับทักษะภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น และศึกษาผลความพึงพอใจของผู้บริโภคที่มีต่อผลิตภัณฑ์ต้นแบบ

ผลของการศึกษาวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพและการวิจัยเชิงทดลองได้ดำเนินการโดยการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ผลิตจากกกลุ่มชุมชน ทั้ง 2 กลุ่ม ได้ทราบถึงข้อจำกัดของวัสดุการขึ้นรูป โดยผู้วิจัยได้นำผลสรุปข้อมูลมาออกแบบ 3 แนวทาง และให้ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิด้านการออกแบบพิจารณาเหลือเพียง 1 แนวทาง จากนั้นผู้วิจัยได้นำมาพัฒนาปรับปรุงและสร้างต้นแบบ เพื่อนำไปศึกษาความความพึงพอใจจากกลุ่มผู้บริโภค 50 คน โดยการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลที่ใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าร้อยละ

ผลการพิจารณารูปแบบเก้าอี้จากฟางข้าว ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิทั้ง 3 ท่านได้คัดเลือกแนวทางที่ 3 ที่มีคะแนนมากที่สุดโดยแนวความคิด คือผืนท้องนาซึ่งมีรูปร่างและรูปทรงธรรมชาติ และมีรูปร่างและรูปทรงเรขาคณิตอย่างชัดเจน มาประยุกต์ให้เกิดความทันสมัยและมีศิลปะท้องถิ่นการจักรสานเข้ามา ซึ่งได้ค่าเฉลี่ยระดับดีมากเท่ากับ 4.89 (S.D.=0.19) จึงพัฒนาปรับปรุงรูปแบบแล้วนำไปประเมินความพึงพอใจจากผู้ตอบแบบสอบถาม 50 คน พบว่าผู้บริโภคมีความพึงพอใจในระดับดี ค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.18 (S.D.=0.37) ผลการออกแบบครั้งนี้ทำให้ทราบว่าฟางข้าวเป็นวัสดุค่อนข้างมีข้อจำกัดเรื่องของการรับน้ำหนัก จำเป็นต้องมีวัสดุเข้ามาเสริมในเรื่องของโครงสร้าง คือสเตนเลสเพื่อที่จะรับน้ำหนักของมนุษย์ได้ โดยประยุกต์เข้ากับทักษะภูมิปัญญาการจักรสานและการเย็บ อีกทั้งผลิตภัณฑ์สามารถถอดประกอบได้ช่วยในเรื่องของการขนส่งและให้มีความทันสมัยมากยิ่งขึ้น
