THE LEARNING MANAGEMENT USING START STRATEGY TO DEVELOP ABILITY OF CRITICAL READING OF MATTHAYOMSUEKSA 4 STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to compare the ability of critical reading of Matthayomsueksa 4 student’s before and after using START strategy, and 2) to study student’s opinions towards learning management using START strategy.

The sample used in this research were 26 Matthayomsueksa 4 students of Chondaen Wittayakom, Chondaen District, Phetchabun Province in the first semester of the academic year 2019.

The research instruments were 1) lesson plans. 2) an achievement test, and 3) a questionnaire on the students’ opinions towards learning management using START strategy. The data were analyzed by mean (x̄), standard deviation (S.D.) and dependent samples t-test.

The results of this research were as follows:

1. The ability of critical reading of Matthayomsueksa 4 students after using START strategy was significantly higher than before using START strategy at the .05 level.

2. The opinions of Matthayomsueksa 4 students towards learning management using START strategy were at a high agreement level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการอ่านอย่างมี วิจารณญาณของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ก่อนและหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กลวิธีสตาร์ท (START) 2) ศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้ กลวิธีสตาร์ท (START) กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/2 โรงเรียน ชนแดนวิทยาคม อำเภอชนแดน จังหวัดเพชรบูรณ์ ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2562 ทั้งหมด 26 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้การอ่านอย่างมีวิจารณญาณโดยใช้กลวิธีสตาร์ท (START) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการอ่านอย่างมีวิจารณญาณ และแบบสอบถาม ความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กลวิธีสตาร์ท (START) การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย (x̄) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) และการทดสอบค่าที แบบไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน (Dependent Samples t-test)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ความสามารถในการอ่านอย่างมีวิจารณญาณของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 หลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กลวิธีสตาร์ท (START) สูงกว่าก่อนการจัดการเรียนรู้อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2. นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 มีความคิดเห็นต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กลวิธีสตาร์ท (START) โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับเห็นด้วยมาก
