ACTIVITY BASED LEARNING AND HIGHER ORDER QUESTIONS FOR DEVELOPING MATHEMATICS PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY OF SIX GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract

The objectives of this reserch were to 1) compare the learning outcomes of grade 6 students in Mathematics before and after the use of activity-based learning integrated with the use of higher order questions, 2) Compare the mathematical problem-solving abilities of Grade 6 students before and after the management of activity-based learning integrated with the use of higher order questions. and 3) To study the satisfaction of Grade 6 students with activity-based learning management integrated with the use of higher order questions. The sample used in the research was Grade 6 students of Wat Sukkasem School. Semester 1 Academic Year 2024 Number of students 14 students. The tools used in this research include 1) an activity-based learning management plan with the use of higher order questions. 2) the learning assessment test, 3) a math problem-solving ability test, and 4) a satisfaction questionnaire.The data were analyzed by mean (M) , standard deviation (SD) and t-test dependent.

The results of this research were as follow

1) Comparison of mathematics learning outcomes percentage and ratio of grade 6 students before and after activity-based learning with higher order questions. The results of learning mathematics after school were higher than before school, the statistical significant at the 0.5 level.

2) Comparison of mathematics problem-solving ability of grade 6 Students using activity-based learning with higher order questions. They have a statistically significant ability to solve math problems after school higher than before school, the statistical significant at the 0.5 level.

3) Results of the grade 6 students' satisfaction with ctivity-based learning with higher order questions. The overall level is the highest.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบผลการเรียนรู้วิชาคณิตศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ก่อนและหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กิจกรรมเป็นฐานร่วมกับการใช้คำถามระดับสูง 2) เปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ก่อนและหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กิจกรรมเป็นฐานร่วมกับการใช้คำถามระดับสูง และ 3) ศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กิจกรรมเป็นฐานร่วมกับการใช้คำถามระดับสูง กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนวัดสุขเกษม ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2567 จำนวนนักเรียน 14 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยในครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กิจกรรมเป็นฐานร่วมกับการใช้คำถามระดับสูง 2) แบบทดสอบวัดผลการเรียนรู้ 3) แบบวัดความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ และ 4) แบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย (M) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (SD) และค่าสถิติทดสอบทีแบบไม่เป็นอิสระต่อกัน (t-test dependent)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

1. ผลการเปรียบเทียบผลการเรียนรู้วิชาคณิตศาสตร์ เรื่อง ร้อยละและอัตราส่วน ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ก่อนและหลังการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กิจกรรมเป็นฐานร่วมกับการใช้คำถามระดับสูง มีผลการเรียนรู้วิชาคณิตศาสตร์หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

2. ผลการเปรียบเทียบความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์ ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่จัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กิจกรรมเป็นฐานร่วมกับการใช้คำถามระดับสูง มีความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาทางคณิตศาสตร์หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

3. ผลการศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กิจกรรมเป็นฐานร่วมกับการใช้คำถามระดับสูง โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด
