Sequence of perception “main entrance”: relationships of visual body movement and proportions in architecture

Abstract

This thesis is to study the factors affecting the formation of the “entrance” area in architecture. The purpose is to study the meaning, functions, methods, content collection and analysis of the entrance area. To lead to the creation of a tool to systematically read the entrance area by using a case study of 18 museum building architecture projects to analyze, divided into 3 groups according to the type of museum, namely 1) historical museum 2) art museum 3) Museums in science category, each of 6 projects to study, analyze, compare and find the relationship to explain the results of the entrance area for specific building-type museums.

The results of the case study analysis revealed that the formation of the entrance area has a sequence of placement, emphasizing meaning and perception from different transitions. There are different volumetric weights. There was a phenomenon at the entrance area. which is a factor that influences the formation of the entrance area of ​​the architectural thought process and affects or conveys different human perceptions according to the physical designation of the entrance area.

Summarizing the results of the study, it was found that all types of “entrances” of museum buildings Try to create some signs related to the contents inside to position the entrance area. To reinforce the meaning before entering the building by creating a sense of "intercept, slow down, delay" in the entrance area with different numbers, sequences, positions, proportions, volumes of complexity. that affect the perception experience cause a memory impression of that place By creating a phenomenon of the entrance area from being linked to one with the context of that place. Or is it a cut off creating a new atmosphere from within the project? to create the aesthetics of visitors.
